The property is very old and has a lot of antiques for decorations which make it a very special and unique place to stay.
The host was in contact with us on the day of our arrival which was nice as we needed his help to find the location.

Staying at Dar Hkaiem is an experience, the property is the house of Majdi’s grandparents, it got renovated, the property is so clean and authentic and feels like the old good Arabian homes, Majdi has a great positive energy and he’s very kind and inclusive, he deals with his guests as friends, he goes out with them, cook for them, tell them where to eat, which places are the best and even goes with them Hammam (Spa) with them.
I indeed recommend Dar Hkaiem and I will definitely come back if I am at Sousse.

Beautiful house converted into a boutique hotel. Excellent and varied breakfast. Wifi and a/c worked well. Charming staff. Right in the heart of the medina (I parked outside and it was quite a long roll to the hotel).
The location is very Central. Tho it's not the best neighbourhood. The apartment is good and has an airco. There was no internet but the host gave me 2 gig free internet. There was no soap for the hand or other things so U have to buy them yourself. Kitchen I did not use as all is so cheap to eat outside. The price value was well
Beautiful House, great value for money, clean & well equipped, great location & mohammed the host is friendly helpful & welcoming. We will be renting this house again in the summer.
Apartment is very spaceous and clean, wi fi is working fine. We parked a car in front of the apt, very safe place. No problems with hot water. Bathroom could use some renovation, but that didn't bother us. Mr. Akram is a great host. He provided us with everything we needed (extra blankets, towells..), he even brought us home made cakes. Would recommand his apartment. Thank you Mr. Akram!
Our stay in Dar Hkeïm was wonderful! Toutou is a great host, his breakfast is delicious, his tours were really great and the home is really charming. We’ve experienced a local life thanks to Toutou, it wouldn’t be the same without him and his knowledge. One of the perks of staying at his guest house is we got to know great people, so we couldn’t ask for more in our first, but sure not last, visit to Tunis. We recommend it 100%
Fantastic place to spend a while in Sousse. In a quiet location but with easy connections to the centre. Toutou is a fabulous host who cares a lot about his guests and his guesthouse. You feel very well looked after! The guesthouse setup is a nice way to meet other travellers while having some privacy and quiet if you need some.
