Very very remote! For what the amenities were, you couldn't ask for anything better. Simple. The hosts were amazing and caring. It was our fav stop so far. This isn't luxury if that's what your looking for. It's a step into real thailand. Simple life. Disconnected. We could have stayed a week!

Perfect place in the jungle, between the trees. Simple bungalow, nothing fancy and that's exactly why I liked it. And so you know, this place has internet! I mean a real connection to the internet. We stayed in a couple of other places where they say they have internet but it was impossible to connect. So if you need it for work, this is your place.

The highlight of our stay was our interactions with the owners and staff who are all so warm and thoughtful. They even gave us a Christmas present! The hotel’s restaurant was delicious and the view from the beach is stunning. Our room was a generous size.

Relatively quiet at night, the family that owns it are wonderful people! Their green curry is fantastic (we asked for ‘no sugar’ as it seems to be added for western tastebuds) and there is free coffee in the mornings.
They feed the local hornbills in the evening- fun to watch!

This hostel is by far the best one I ever stayed in. Almost everyone staying here had to extend their stay at least once, because it is just so comfortable in here. If you like hippie vibes and not so crowded beaches, Koh Phayam is really it for u. This hostel is truly a hidden gem :)) lots of love
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
The hardworking couple running this place, does everything they can to assure a stay living up to your expectations,, and they succeed. If you like quiet, relaxing enjoying a fruit smoothie and great view to sea, birds and jungle, this is it. There is a usually deserted beach two minutes walk from the guesthouse.
Very remote, basic huts in the jungle green and toucans flying around, 2 min walk to the nicest beach on the island (practically private!) with free kayak. Home made meals all day, very nice and helpful stuff, great common area with hot water available. Definitely for those who like quiet, slow and relax. Small paradise
Possible triggers:
- no gsm (wifi only in reception)
- extremely hard materace (I like hard beds but this was whole new level)
- no shops
- no ac or even fan
- electricity only from 6-10 pm
The owners were exceptionally friendly, kind, and helpful. The place was beautiful, well cared for, clean, and very peaceful. The food was fabulous. There's a lovely and nearly deserted beach a two minute walk down a path. During our two week stay here we walked by nearly every other guesthouse on the island, and think that Littleduck is by far the best place to stay on Koh Chang!
The staff and owners are super kind and make you feel very welcome! The Bungalows are right on the beach and at a very quiet area. You can fall asleep and wake up to the sound of waves and crickets only.
Second time we visited Rattana. Rattana has a great location. So Quiet. They cook tasty meals and do everything to make you happy. Simple basic cabins with everything you need and viriable views. Wonderful place where hornbill birds fly around. . We will be back!
the host / family was so friendly. the place was simple but magical! we loved our bungalow and the private beach as much as the food they cooked!
