Really large room and the toilet was separated from shower and sink. Didn’t have to wipe it down after every shower like a lot of places in Thailand.

The host & her daughter were so funny and exceptionally welcoming! They made sure everything was perfect for our stay and were super helpful even with the language barrier. They were able to provide us 2 scooter rentals (koh yao yai was the only place in Thailand that I drove my own scooter it was very calm and remote). They brought us water and home made breakfast (the fried dough was amazing!) They were able to provide us a laundry service and our clothes came back very clean. I highly recommend staying at Relaxing House Koh Yao Yai and booking a Hong Island Boat Tour through the owner, it was our favorite boat tour that we did on our two months traveling throughout Thailand. The beaches were beautiful. It's a little away from the main tourist area which we found nice, a short 15 minute scooter ride if we wanted to get over to the resorts/ shopping. The bungalow was clean and we loved the owner's kitty's coconut would have my morning coffee with me while I worked remotely.

The owner couldn't have been nicer. She offered to drive me on her scooter and they offered to take me to the pier the next am, but I already had a ride. Though there was a language barrier one can tell when someone is sincerely kind.

The property has a BEAUTIFUL VIEW, the longer we stayed the more we fell in love with how calm and relaxing this place is! This place left us feeling like we were at a camp the entire time! Theres a small restaurant/bar next to our hotel very nice people! We highly recommend 2 restaurants that are near - the sea Gypsies and Stella’s! The included breakfast was decent and a great way to start your day! The staff was very accommodating we rented scooters for 250baht

The picturesque lookout from our beach front villa was memorable. It was quiet and secluded, which was exactly what we were looking for. The spa was great and I liked that they assigned the same masseuse for the three therapies I had, she was professional and attentive. My son enjoyed his time at the kids club. The food at the Beach restaurant was tasty and the portion was generous. Last but not least, a shout out to our villa host August, he was very attentive and made our stay extra comfortable.

We rented scooter on northern part of island (cheaper then closer to hotel). Also - small gym, but almost always empty. If you need to do cardio or small workout - great. A place to chill. Everything is great here! Surrounded by nature, perfectly located in the middle of the island. Very quiet and relaxing resort. Hosting family really nice. The place is spotless and the bed is comfortable. The price is super fair for the quality of the resort. You can also rent the scooter at the property.
Exactly what I was expecting. Very little guesthouse in the countryside. Very quiet at night. Very simple and great location. 3 minutes on a motorbike to reach the 7eleven or the pier.
Great location to explore the island with a scooter (the host rents out good priced and serviced scooters). The dorm room was very clean, comfortable and spacious. Bathroom and toilet is outside and was very clean. With shampoo, shower gel and toilet paper. There is also a small kitchen area with free water, coffee and tea. Microwave. All in all a quiet and peaceful place to have a wonderful time.
This hostel is in a really great location, close to the pier and the best beach on the island. Koh Yao Yai currently very quiet and the hostel had just one other person staying in it whilst I was there but I have a great time regardless and it’s really lovely to explore the island without many tourists. If you’re travelling alone and arrive at Klong Hia Pier don’t pay 300 for the taxi - ask them to take you on a motorbike instead and it only costs 100 baht.
