Roo Poo guest house is in a fantastic location, it's a couple of minutes from the Koh Kho Khao pier so really ideal for convenient travelling. The room in the guest house was plain but big, the air con worked great and the bed was comfortable so no complaints at all. It was good value.
We fell in love with this beautiful island and its incredibly hospitable people and would love to return. We spent a morning snorkeling over coral reefs, walked to the ruins of an ancient city sadly no longer officially open but with information boards, did lots of swimming and visited the Tsunami park and museum in Ban Nem Kem of course (very moving). We also ate in many of the numerous lical restaurants, all good food. We heard dozens of different kinds of birds, heard monkeys and even saw some large monitor lizards walking through the yard! This is a little slice of paradise that needs protecting.

The rooms are big and beds are comfortable (if you like hard mattresses, which I do!). Every room has directed access to a narrow pool that goes around an isle of sunbeds which is quite unique. The staff were very nice and accommodating when we asked for a late checkout.

The staff were lovely and accommodating, and the hotel is cute and quirky. Our room was quite spacious and we had a private courtyard area.
The communal breakfast area was lovely, and the included breakfast and clean drinking water was nice.

We loved our stay here! The room was huge, very cute and clean. There's a kitchen where you can get filtered water and fruits, which is amazing. Kitty, the owner, is sooo lovely and very helpful. The location is near the main road (1min) but it's not loud at all and also close to the night market (3min).
We really recommend staying here, it's such a relaxed and comfy home:)

A beautiful, small and quiet resort on a long, wide beach. I had a relaxing time here. The restaurant offers many choices and the Thai food they served was very good. Good massage on the beach. The staff is wonderful and helpful, simply the best! Everything is very clean.
We stayed in a bungalow directly at the beach. So the beach was just 10m away from us. That was very nice.

Hapla Beach Cottage exceeded our expectations in terms of being peaceful, quiet and comfortable. We felt at home and enjoyed the remote location. The food is very good & so are the drinks / fresh juices. The staff are friendly and attentive. We could happily return :)
