A sweet family hotel, I am sorry I was unable to stay longer. It's simple but comfortable, the hosts are incredibly kind and welcoming. It was absolutely silent at night and wonderfully cool even without A/C, my first night of truly good sleep after 5 days in Thailand. Would have liked a softer pillow, but otherwise love the rather firm bed. Location is great, just outside the city walls on the north, next to the fabulous night food market. Would stay again. If you are ok with simple facilities but a lot of kindness, this is the spot.

Perfect location in Old City for sight seeing and walking distance to the Night Markets. Our room was very clean.
We slept soundly as the property is quiet and also located across from a temple. There was very little street noise.
Breakfast was buffet style with a selection of both Thai and western items.
It was great to have laundry facilities on site as well
The owner was very kind and helpful. We’d recommend to anyone travelling to Chiang Mai.

I had an amazing stay here! The guesthouse beautifully blends traditional Thai architecture with modern comforts like updated showers and sinks. It provided a peaceful retreat from the heat and hustle of the city, truly feeling like a comforting oasis. The attention to detail, both aesthetically and practically, really stood out. I loved the memory foam pillows—they made my stay extra comfortable. The location is perfect, within walking distance to everything in Chiang Mai, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

Pissamorn the owner was absolutely wonderful. She gave great suggestions of where to go, how to get there, good restaurants to eat etc She also helped us with our booking to get to Pai. She really made us feel like we were special!!
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
Spacious bed in the dorms, plugs , curtains really comfortable and quiet , everyone respects eachother, great location and staff! Lockers available also so bro g a pad lock! Really great hostel
A lovely little unpretentious guest house run by a charming and attentive family. The rooms were spotlessly clean and well serviced. The guesthouse is conveniently located close to the old town, many restaurants and bars but is a little set back so it is in a little oasis of calm and quiet. There is a large secure parking area at the back of the hotel for bicycles, motorbikes and cars. The bright and airy communal outside sitting areas were particularly appreciated.
Lovely place and great location right in the heart of chiang mai, the staff were lovely the receptionist was a great host and helped us with any problem we had, we upgraded to the boutique rooms and was definitely worth the extra baht
Cheap, cheerful and charming. The property was super well located, down a quiet private street and close to the night market. The hosts were super accommodating too - we checked out and left our luggage to go on a day trip but they let us shower and freshen up before our flight.
Paapu is such a great host, very kind and generous and makes you feel at home right away.
Everything is very clean and it’s a very charming space. I particularly liked the back deck that stays cool from the sun all day, and is a nice quiet spot to chill out
The guesthouse is in a great location, walkable to local cafes and restaurants and is in the nice Old City. The house is very beautiful with stained glass and feels very relaxing. the rooms and spaces are clean and the complimentary breakfast is delicious with fresh fruit, pad Thai and some sticky sweet rice, also coffee/tea. The hostess and workers are very nice and helpful and allowed us to check in again, would definitely come back again!
Everything about this simpke guesthouse met or exceeded my exoectations.Great location is a charming street with plenty of quiet bars and eateries.A happy home for a week
Before anything else, I have to take my hat off to the staff, especially Som! Som and her friend really went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. I also liked the cozy atmosphere Amaka's fostered as it felt more like a bed and breakfast than a cheap hostel. There were also many books you could read while staying there. The breakfast they provide (for those who opt for it) was delicious and nutritious. If you want a quiet place to relax from your travels, this place is for you!
