It is just like staying in a brand new hotel. They had to totally refurbish after losing pretty much everything they had in the September floods, and they have done a really good job of it. Top that with friendly and efficient service and you have a great place to stay. We booked one night on spec and were disappointed not to be able to extend for another as they were fully booked.

Alex and family are helpful and friendly. The house and garden are very quiet and peaceful (it is not central and you need some form of transport to get here from CR centre - about 6 or 7 KMs). You go to sleep and wake up to the sound of nature. The garden is lovely and quiet and the room was large and comfortable. There are some restaurants and coffee shops within easy walking distance but Alex (or his wife?) will cook for you! around I strongly recommend it if you want a quiet and peaceful few days.

Everything. Chian House was everything I had been looking for in Thailand. The building is beautiful, the hosts accommodating and the food was delicious at a great price. They had bike hire and tours available. I was planning to extend our 2 day stay to at least a week. Unfortunately, the day after we arrived Chiang Rai flooded. The hosts looked after us for 2 days and helped us liaise with the Tourist Police. I hope Chian House and everyone in it is ok and hopefully we will be able to return. God Bless.

The people had a flood so downstairs was being renewed but upstairs was perfect the kitchen was not open yet but we had toast and coffee so ok the people were very friendly and it was comfortable would go back

Walking distance from the bus station. An older Thai lady who's probably Grandma Kaew in person welcomed us. Room was basic but comfortable. Wifi was good. We stayed on the ground floor next to their room. She allowed us to hang our laundry at the back to dry, and even helped to move them under shelter when we arrived later that evening. Her daughter, I presume, handles a motor rental service underneath the accoms. Their scooters are in excellent condition.

Very comfy bedding and pillows in a clean room. Staff were so kind and helpful (we needed help with a lot of things). They are very happy to help with trips / Laos border crossing.

Everything. This is the perfect bed and breakfast. Spacious, beautiful, quiet, personal, yet private. We extended our stay to one week, and would have liked to stay even longer.
Position is a bit out of town, but if You have a car is ok, Pay back is tranquility and low pollution from traffic, surround by green and plants.
Plus we where to see our son hosted on MFL University, which is just 3 km far.

Hotel is dated but fairly maintained.
I like the solution of each room in a bungalow, quietness and privacy is100% guarantee.
There's a small patio with chairs to enjoy seat outside at evening.
