Not too far out of town. Entry pretty easy. Very clean and quiet. Was a hot night and with no Aircon left windows open for a breeze. Comfy beds. Generally a very nice stay.
In High Tatras, Vila Polar is 2 km from Štrbské Pleso Ski Resort and offers free ski shuttle.

Due to train delays we arrived 2 hours after check-in officially ended. We phoned the hotel, and the lady not only waited for us, but when we finally arrived welcomed us very warmly! Thanks to the great staff we felt extremely well here.
Apart from that: breakfast was delicious, the view from the balcony very nice; very quiet neighbourhood, although near the railway station (from there it's only a walk of 5 minutes)

The location was great, only around 5 - 7 minutes walk from the train station. It was quiet when the balcony was closed but the road down was rather noisy even at night. The noise of the stream in the woods was bearable after the first night.
Finding the penzion was easy too, it's right next to a bus stop too. :)
The bathroom was clean and very nice, and the facilities were wonderful. We loved the open buffet breakfast! A nice selection of vegetables too, though I wouldn't mind extra leafy greens such as iceberg lettuce or a Romain lettuce to add a variety. Good for vegetarians, but not for vegans.
The people who owned the penzion were very nice and friendly.

Great location by the lake. Amazing breakfast buffet with a lot of choice. Room was nice and bed comfy with access to big terrace. Dorm was quiet a there was only 2 of us in the room. Small kitchen available if you want to cook for yourself, otherwise buffet kitchen is available on site. Food was great quality and decent portion. There a communal room for people staying in the hostel.

Unique building in a great location below the Tatras mountains. If you're a fan of modern architecture, you should visit! The room was excellent with views - I went at a quiet time so was lucky to receive an upgrade. Comfortable bed and the bathroom well equipped. The breakfast was good too. Also, if you enjoy wintersports / hiking, then Štrbské Pleso is q good destination and a bit different too. Highly recommend.
Location was good. The accommodation is an equivalent to the Youth hostel, basic but well managed and clean.
Sometime can be noisy (small children playing in the corridor or staircase)
The place population (of approx 300 local people) consists mainly of tourists in the hotels.
But still some cheaper eating facilities still exists near the railway station.
People are very nice. The tourist office is excellent.
Great location, very nice and helpful hosts, really great for the money. Comfortable enough beds, really well equipped and clean rooms, with nice atmoshphere. Well working heating. If you are planning to go up to the mountains I'll definitely recommend staying here. You can also find a shop directly infront the hotel if you need anything to eat, cosmetics, etc. Parking is available behind the building for a small ammount of extra charge, definitely worth it.
