Hospitallity was amazing! Great service and amazing host! Very kind and very easygoing. I was only here for one night but I was told the surrounding is worth visiting. It is a easy ride to the Tatra mountains.
The host Magda made me feel welcome from the start. She and Tomas went out of their way to make my visit comfortable. The location is close to a bus stop and a grocery store and the hiking is good. It was my birthday and Magda made it especially nice for me. Definitely put Start Dom on your list of places to visit in Slovakia.

Perfectly located place to visit Babia Hora, Pilsko or Namestovo & Lake Orawa. Next to Stary Dom, there’s a shop & bus station. Stary dom is surrounded with amazing views. Kitchen, rooms and external space(garden) are equipped with everything you need. Stary dom accepts dogs without any issue or additional fee. Last but not least - Owners/Hosts are great & lovely people, I have no words to describe Their great hospitality! <3 We do strongly reccomend to choose Stary Dom as a place to stay!
This is the best stay near Beskidy Mountains we had till now! To start with amazing hosts Magda and Tomek who showed us such kind hospitality to great atmosphere of old house and opportunity to meet new people in this cozy and spacious accomodation. We are definitely coming back with some our home cooking to make it even with delicious Halushki we were kindly served!
