The breakfast was delicious, we were even offered homemade cakes. As the panzio is on the hill side, the view is amazing to all direction in the morning and in the evening as well. Nicely decorated rooms, and well kept garden.

The distance from the city felt just right. Far enough so it was nicely silent and mostly surrounded by beautiful nature (hills covered withtrees, or a lake is only a few minutes walking distance). And if you have a car (or probably even a bike), the city is also only 5 minutes away (around 5-6eur for a taxi service). Not sure about bike. Great, unless you want to be spending all your time in the city and don't care about privacy and silence much, in which case the distance may be annoying for you, especially if not having a car or a bike and paying 5-6eur each ride.
Located right next to the entrance to the ancient Glanzenberg Mine, the Penzión Kachelman occupies a 17th-century building in the center of Banská Štiavnica. It features a restaurant and a spa area.

Nice room with good facilities. The bathroom was clean, everything was working. The breakfast was very varied and tasty. We had 24/7 access to the rooms even when the reception wasn't open via a code

Majority of staff was very friendly, helpful and accomodating. Great location in the city center, parking just few meters from the apartment, nice breakfast in the restaurant. Apartment was newly refurbished, nicely furnished, large and comfortable.
Beautiful spacious apartment in town centre. Great location and nice hosts. I have especially liked traditional decor, separate bathroom and WC, also had a use of cleaning appliances which is handy if you are backpacking. Apartment maintained ambient temperature despite heatwave outside. There were many toys including kids kitchen, books for kids and adults, TV, Radio, vinyl player and choice of music. For baby there was cot, high chair, kids cutlery, plates and cups.
Although presented as "hostel", apartment was huge. Very sunny. Clean. Equipped with all basic stuff including induction hob, microwave, kettle, dishes. Kids can play in small dedicated place with toys. Apartment has a terrace, too. Cafe right under the window. Very quiet even just 1 house from the main street.
Breakfast in the main building (just next to apartment) was great and varied for affordable price (7 €/person), too.
This was probably by best hostel accommodation that I stayed at during my entire stay in Slovakia. It felt like a fairytale setting with the view out of of my window. It was close enough to the city centre via walking and the staff were very helpful.
I lucked out that it wasn't high season at the start of June 2024 and I ended up having the dorm room to myself. Everything was super clean and comfortable.
Great hosts! The house is further from the town, its quiet and peaceful. The garden was awesome, loved the multiple terraces. House was nice and clean, with plenty of space.

The apartment is absolutely charming and we had a great time. We enjoyed our stay very much - especially playing the special edition of Monopoly, which we found absolutely hilarious. Great location, surprisingly quiet at night, just across the street from great coffee at Stará Tržnica.
Nice and rather cheap hotel located in the city centre of Banska Stiavnica. The maisonette was clean and rather spacious. Room could have been quiet but we had to sleep with window open because of the heat and bells from the nearby church rang all night every hour.
