The property is in the most beautiful setting close to the shores of Lake Bohinj and away from the hustle and bustle of this beautiful area. On a clear day, our room (1) had a beautiful view as far as Savica Falls. In terms of the room, the beds are comfortable and are very well heated with under-floor heating in the bathroom area. One of the best things about the property is the host, Zan, who is friendly and helpful and serves up the most amazing breakfast. There is an honesty bar and lots of free nibbles to enjoy during the day in a really lovely communal area. There are many restaurants a short drive away and a couple you can walk to, but I really feel you need a car to make the most of the area - there is ample parking at the property.

I had a very memorable trip at Chalet Burja, and I have so many good things to say about it. The rooms were small but comfortable, the views were unmatched and I had everything I needed for a few days away. Value for money-wise, I thought it was exceptional. I expected meals & drinks etc to be extortionately expensive, considering that once it hits 6pm and the cable cars stop running, you're "stuck" for the evening with no other meal options, however I was pleasantly surprised. In fact, it was one of the most affordable places I visited during my trip to Slovenia. The food was genuinely incredible - especially dinners, I highly recommend the Pad Thai if it's a daily special when you're there! Breakfasts were good too (tip: people tend to eat early!) The staff were so lovely, even allowing me to check-in early considering the weather was so awful when I arrived. Everyone was very friendly and I felt right at home. The other guests were lovely too and most went out of their way to chat to and acknowledge each other. I thoroughly enjoyed the hike up Mount Vogel - there is a chair lift available making it very accessible) included with cable car ticket) however I opted to make the challenging climb. The views from the top are spectacular! I spent a lovely 3-nights here - if anything, it's worth it to stay here purely for the viewpoint right by the chalet early in the morning, before the day-trippers arrive on the cable cars. Seeing the clouds in the valley between the mountains at 7am is a memory that I know will stick with me. Keep your expectations at: it's a mountain chalet, geared towards hikers in the summer months, and you'll love it! If you're after a unique and "different" accommodation option for your trip to Slovenia, why not combine it with a few days at a popular, beautiful mountainside.

Amazing place in the middle of nature and you are able to choose whatever direction from there and you will find very nice hiking trail. Road to get there is not an easy one (at least 20 minutes on gravel road), but it will bring you more closer to the nature and it ensure that there isn't too many tourists :D Personnel was amazing and rooms are nicely designed.

The facility was very clean and Peter was very nice and helpful! The location is very good, a short walk to the lake.

The bedroom and bathroom were lovely and the feel of the house is relaxed, with a quirky sense of humour. Alice and her staff seemed very friendly though we didn't see much of them on our short stay without breakfast. Handy offroad parking just outside. All very clean and comfortable with some nice touches (sweets, toiletries, nice TV, robes, great shower). The hotel is just a short walk from the lake and several bars and restaurants. They will lend you a good umbrella if needed.

It was a very pleasant stay. The hosts were wonderful and responsive, with the option to stay with a dog and free parking. The room had a small fridge, kettle, and coffee machine. It was clean and cozy. The lake was about a 15-minute walk away

Nice experience in a glamping with animals. Amazing spot to watch stars!
