The hotel, simple but charming, slightly old fashioned which added to the charm, is located close to the railway station (which was important for us) and also not far away from some of Slovenia's famous caves. The staff speaks English fluently, was helpful, friendly and flexible. Breakfast was very good.

Breakfast was excellent and freshly prepared a good start to the day. Rooms are comfortable with WiFi and air conditioning in a great location within the country. I was very pleased with the communication prior to arrival and was thrilled when I got delayed that they came to collect me. Both mother and son were very welcoming to me.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
The Hostel has a very authentic and homely feel to it. The staff could not be more accommodating and friendly, they go the extra mile for you. The food they provide is delicious and all locally produced. The beds are also very comfortable. As for the location it is perfect less than 5 minutes walk from the caves. Also it’s so peaceful and quiet I enjoyed a daily swim in the river close by. Overall I don’t think you could desire a better place to stay and for the price it is the best value for money stay you can get.

Nicely furnished small apartment with everything you need for your stay. The location is in the quiet village, which is great for peaceful break and a great base for sports activities and exploring the natural beauty of the karst (Škocijan caves, Divača cave, Lipica etc). Surprisingly cosy, quiet, slow-paced hostel with attentive but non-intrusive staff and all amenities to make you happy for a relaxed stay – either for one day or longer. If your plan is one day, you may regret you have not planned for a longer stay.
The host was lovely and couldn’t have done more for us. Staying here you get a discount on the caves so don’t book in advance! Walking distance to the caves and the walk around the top of the village. There is a shared fridge and plenty of space to sit outside and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Wonderful host, Irena, was most helpful and assisted with advice on costs for attractions we were looking to go to.
The hostel is in a great location, close to the caves and the Skočjan itself, where there is an excellent restaurant. The room facilities were simple but sufficient. We paid extra for the breakfast from local products. The hostel has a garden where you can relax. There is a communal kitchen with utensils as well. You can walk from the train station to Divača, but it is possible to book a local taxi.
Our hosts were so accommodating with a free lift to and from Divaca station, beautiful room and great location right next to the trail that leads to the caves!
