Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Jules was an excellent host, super kind, knowledgeable about things to do in the area and restaurants nearby. We left early to go to Volcanoes National Park and he packed our breakfast so we could take it with us on our hike. The location was great, nice and quiet but close to town. All in all a lovely stay; I would recommend!
I loved staying here and Blaise is a wonderful host! He's so knowledgeable and helpful. His hospitality is excellent and we shared a great time together!
The place is in a nice local area with shops around and you can easily walk to the town centre in 20 mins or less.
Great location in general for visiting Volcano National Park and Twin Lakes. Good wifi.
Rosalie, the receptionist, is very joyful and professional. The room has everything needed, and warm water is available (you might need to ask in advance at the reception to switch it on). Breakfast is very good (omelet, fruit, african tea or coffee, toasts, ...). The location is good too: 10 minutes walk from city center (or 1 minute by mototaxi), and it is a very quiet street. The price is very competitive. I strongly recommend.
The guesthouse is really cosy, the staff amazing, breakfast delicious, wifi perfect and it is located in the center of Ruhengeri. We really enjoyed our stay and felt especially at home thanks to our host Jospin.
The most friendly and heartly Host on my whole east africa journey. He was trying to make me feel as comfotable as possible and helped me a lot. Also He Connected me to nice tourguides and helped me a lot to get the cheapest price for my Tour. From the Center only a few minutes by walking.
Junior the host was very proactive with communicating with us. He was very helpful even going on his bike to pick up some take out food. The hotel has only four rooms so is very chill. It is in a quiet location, good for pick up for gorilla trekking. A living room, dining room, and kitchen are shared. The room was very clean, quiet, spacious, and comfortable. I would stay again.
The guest house is in a great location on Musanze, not far from the Volcano national park reserve. The hosts and staff of this place are just incredible! They helped us so much behind our expectations (cleaned our car and shoes from mud after the hiking without even asking). The room is comfortable and quiet, and the breakfast is great. We highly recommend this place, we felt at home.
The staff here are wonderful. Lucy was a great hostess and helped us organise all our day trips, including a birthday cake for my boyfriend during our stay, and Eric was super friendly and even gave our car a clean. The communal area is great for chilling and watching a movie in the evenings, and the bed was very comfy.
