Casa da Avó is just absolutely gorgeous! We truly felt at home. The room was spacious, homely and very clean and we even had a balcony. The bed was comfortable and my toddler also slept very well so I assume that the cot was also comfortable. The house itself is incredible and very well situated in the centre of town. The patio/garden was very pleasant, especially in the evenings when it wasn't so hot.
Dona Ângela and Solange were the most welcoming and lovely hostesses and kept everything in order. The homemade jams and fresh bread were out favourite breakfast bit!
Situated in Torre de Moncorvo, the recently renovated Ninho do Corvo features accommodation 35 km from Longroiva Hot Springs and 48 km from Mirandela Medieval Bridge.

Our stay at Rate Casa de Santa Cruz in Felgar was an absolute gem! Nestled in a quaint, tranquil village in northern Portugal, this hotel was a true discovery for us. Housed within a historic building that has been beautifully renovated, it exudes charm and elegance. The attention to detail in the restoration of this old house was evident throughout, creating a blend of historic charm and modern comfort. The courtyard with its inviting pool added a touch of serenity to our experience.
Despite visiting during the winter months, the hotel was wonderfully warm and welcoming. The communal spaces on the ground floor, with their stone walls and a fireplace crackling with logs, were particularly enchanting. It was the perfect setting to unwind on a quiet winter evening, perhaps enjoying a movie amidst the cozy atmosphere. Our room was incredibly spacious, bright, and impeccably clean, with separate access to the pool area.
Additionally, I must mention that from the pool terrace, you can investigate the night sky.
Highly recommended for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat in a picturesque setting.

Given the price of the accommodation and the fact that it was a working Quinta, I expected there to be more options for breakfast. I had Bread and cheese, coffee, a small croissant with butter and jam, and a small piece of orange cake.
Set in a farm in Vila Flor, this property boasts an outdoor pool and a terrace with mountain views. It features spacious rooms with balconies and a wine cellar.

The view is amazing. The hosts were very friendly and did everything to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable. Dinner made to order at a time suitable to us and great local wine. Room was a good size with a huge bed and great view.
Casa do Moleirinho is a recently renovated guest house in Freixo de Espada à Cinta, near Freixo de Espada a Cinta Church. The property features city views. The guest house has family rooms.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
The house is excellently located and was spotless upon our arrival. The kitchen is well-equipped, but be aware that there is no washing machine. The check-in process was very easy, as the host was waiting for us downstairs.
We arrived an hour earlier than expected and Teresa and Francisco were kind enough to allow us to check in early. The location was fantastic! Close to the historic church and center of town. Teresa and Francisco checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed and gave us suggestions of restaurants in the area. They were absolutely wonderful hosts and we enjoyed our time in their guest house.
The house is located at the end of a small road in a rural and quiet setting, ideally placed for a number of marked walks in the area.
Lots of space, easy to heat and very comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped and we enjoyed a few extras such as fresh fruit, nuts and coffee which the owner had left for us.
Thank you for a perfect stay!
Beautiful house high on a hill in Foz Sabor outside of Pocinho at the end of train line up the Douro Valley. We were very hungry on arrival and Lourdes made us sandwiches and drinks. Breakfast the next morning was exceptional! Fresh fruit, yogurt, cheese, meats, cafe etc. Killer views and Susanna and her family were wonderful hosts. Thank you all for a magical stay.
