No words can describe the peace you’ll find in Casa da Avó (grandmother’s house). Perfectly equipped and most importantly capable of instantaneously making you feel at home. Despite being one of the hottest weeks of the year the house was very cool. The apartment was very quiet and at the same time central. Top experience! Photos correspond to the reality. I will be taking the bus to lisbon. very clean room with view of a busy street. Very courtesy the staff and helpful with requests. Grocery store and bbq chicken available within walking distance...my 2nd experience in a hostel. private wc and private room for very cheap...certainly a 10
It was quiet but close enough to Serta to pop in for supper.
The room was warm, clean and the shower was hot.
The breakfast was wonderful. Homemade jam and bread. Good coffee and homemade juice.
A lot of effort went into the breakfast and our host made an effort t ok help us and make us feel welcome.
She recommended a nice restaurant in town for supper.
