Peaceful, quiet location, but not extremely far away from nearby beaches and tourist destinations, if you have a car. The breakfast was good and the property has some nice pathways and garden where our kids enjoyed walking around. The pool is nice and clean, and we could swim for a bit even if the water was very cold. Andre from the staff was very friendly and polite, a pleasure to have him around!

Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
It's a wonderful, away from the city, quiet place. The warmth and care from the host. It was a pleasure talking about our families, Portugal, the sumptuous breakfast, and the beautiful surroundings. The place has a safe parking spot and a feeling of reaching your own home and sleeping in your own bed.
The location is amazing. You have a great view of the village. The host was very welcoming, and the grandparents shared some of their fresh fruits from the garden. There is a beautiful terrace underneath a lemon tree where you can have breakfast or some drinks.
Lovely host, extremely clean and modern room. Huge bathroom. We watched Netflix and had access to a little fridge and coffee maker in the corridor. Central in town and close to two good restaurants - Academico and Fatina. The latter does great cheap roast chicken and chips. 10 mins walk to a big Intermarche. Perfect stop on the Via Algarviana.
Wonderful Guest house that exceeded expectations.
The hoste was so warm and welcoming and happy to help.
Everything you can think of was clean, very pleased.
The local shops were brilliantly prices and served amazing dishes.
Everyone in the shops and local restaurants were keen to help and were able to communicate although some lanaguage barriers.
Basic but cheap bed and breakfast in a small town with a railway station, outstanding value for money. Room had everything I needed and none of the silly key controls that stop you charging devices when out.
We had excellent stay in Casa dos Ninos. Stacey and Luc are fantastic hosts, we felt very welcomed. Beautiful quiet place, swimming pool, very good breakfast. Perfect place to stay!
Lola was a wonderful host very helpful and warm. She even changed our room for a larger one without us requesting. The guest house is extremely clean and well decorated. The facilities was perfect for our 10 day stay. The lounge was comfortable to use and the roof top area has beautiful views. Sao Bartolomeu is quiet, quaint little town. With bus and train links to Portimão, Silves and Lisbon. If you are are staying for longer than a few days I would recommend hiring a car
great value for money, extremely friendly staff. great location for a couple of nights, bars with amazing food and very cheap 5 min walk. we went to a lovely cove/beach for the day (about a 30 min drive). I would say you really need a car to stay here but the property does have a large roof terrace
