Casa Sarguito, hotel in Sagres

Offering a garden and a shared lounge, Casa Sarguito in Sagres is close to Mareta Beach and Baleeira Beach. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking, and free Wifi.

The location was perfect as were the kitchen and common areas. The beds were a bit hard and lighting a bit dim for reading. Also, for those of us with out access to Google Maps, the location was difficult to find since there were no street names. Fortunately, a kind stranger helped us find the location using her GPS and even walked us to the area. Without her assistance, we still might be wandering the streets of Sagres looking for the place.

Mira Fortaleza, hotel in Sagres

Mira Fortaleza is centrally located in Sagres, 1312 feet from the Mareta Beach. Built in 1985, this guest house provides rooms and apartments to its guests and views of the Sagres’ Fortress.

These rooms were less inhabited and less ready for visitors than other we've seen in Algarve (empty kitchen, even no tea/salt/sugar), but in general nice and located well in Sagres

Monte Da Vilarinha, hotel in Sagres

Monte Da Vilarinha is located within the Vicentine Coast Natural Park. It enjoys panoramic views over the valley and offers modern accommodations with access to an outdoor swimming pool.

What looked like a cute rustic farmhouse hotel from the online photos was actually an underwhelming and overpriced stay.  Definitely not a place to visit in its current conditions if you're into well appointed boutique hotels. I hope this review can be used as constructive criticism because there is a lot of potential here. The check-in experience was quite easy and welcoming. The staff was kind to leave a bottle of wine in our room since they knew we were coming on our honeymoon. The hotel room felt very bare, dated and without any character. Not a single piece of artwork, rug, or accent pillow. The furniture all felt very cheap and dated. From the most basic shelving unit, to the plastic lighting fixtures and the bedside table lamps that looked like the cheapest desk lights at Ikea. This was very off-putting for what one might expect from a property like this. The room was quite dark and there was also a little bit of a smell of humidity. And with no air conditioning or fan, the room lacked air circulation which explained the smell. This made particularly  difficult to sleep on a rainy night since the air was thick and no way to create fresh air in the room. The room had decent closet space. There was a clothing hanging bar but no hangers.l, which seemed like a bit of oversight. Another detail that was a little upsetting was when the room was cleaned in the morning, they failed to refill the water bottle. Given that tap water is not drinkable in this area, this should have been done. Additionally, the wi-fi in the room was not great and completely down after the rain. We had a little outdoor terrace. But unfortunately the views were obstructed by leaves of a tree / bush that could have easily been trimmed. This blocked most of the nature view which is what we came to this hotel for. The hotel sits on a beautiful piece of land at the bottom of a valley. And the grounds are very nice with a couple of walking paths and ponds.

Small development of 10 villas, quiet location, short walk to the main street of Sagres and beaches. Lovely villa, very clean and comfortable, pool was great. Communication with the host was excellent and a special mention to Maria, the local contact who was brilliant, answered any questions we had very quickly.

Nice little guest house in the charming town of Sagres. Less than a 5 minute walk from a stunning beach. Really peaceful and welcoming. Moreover, the night I stayed there I happened to be the only guest, which means I had the whole room to myself!

A beautiful place in an amazing town!! One of the best hostels I have ever stayed in. Great people, facilities and a great vibe. Beds were comfy and the hostel was quiet enough at night to get a good sleep too. The facilities/ bathrooms were all kept clean and staff were always on hand if I had any questions. Would definitely stay here again if I am back in Sagres.

The breakfast in the morning sun is amazing. The shared kitchen and the bathroom are super clean at any time of the day. Even though the hostel is fully booked there are enought showers and bathrooms available so you don’t have to wait at any time. If you want to relax after surf the pool cools you down while you have a beer at the bar. The staff and the guests made this holiday amazing! If you have to work remotely there are several quiet places with good wifi where you can have your business calls.

Was here for the second time, and it definitely won’t be the last. I absolutely love this guesthouse, Esther and Julio are extremely kind and welcoming and are doing everything they can to make you felt right at home. The atmosphere is very relaxed, cozy and quiet. It’s definitely not a party hostel, but still it is a very good place to get in touch with new amazing people.

Great location, extremely friendly and helpful host. Quiet location for sleeping but on the doorstep of everything Sagres has to offer. Small local businesses, I would highly encourage anyone to support it.

Its a quiet cozy house with a fire place in the living room - for cold evenings in winter. Nieves was a great host, always checking in with me and easy available in case I had a question. Thanks again!
