This hotel offers great value for money. Breakfast was good, staff was friendly (they were very helpful and granted us an early check-in). The room is comfortable, clean and recently renovated. The location is amazing - just around the corner of the main street of the town, with restaurants and shops nearby.
Ti Marquitas enjoys a location in Vila de Rei, 30 miles from Almourol Castle and 21 miles from Capela de Nossa Senhora da Conceicao.

Although we arrived a late, we could arrange easily the checkin. The overall cleanness was good, but there was a very bad smell of mold in some places. The bed (at least our one) was very comfy (exactly as we like it, with quite a firm mattress). The rooms a very large. The restaurant just beneath, serves excellent local food.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
The place was very neat; on the first day, they had set up a Christmas tree and a selection of local treats, including bread, jam, marshmallows, and wine. To ensure a break from city life, there was a yard equipped with a barbecue and an oven. They provided us with wood and a bit of charcoal, and there were salt, pepper, and dishwashing essentials there too.
Very welcome and hospitable host.
No words can describe the peace you’ll find in Casa da Avó (grandmother’s house). Perfectly equipped and most importantly capable of instantaneously making you feel at home. Mr. Virgilio was probably one of the best hosts I’ve ever met. The passion he has for the traditions and stories of the place was moving and we were delighted with the basket full of local tasty food and drink he offered us. We can’t wait to come back.
