It is a good budget acommodation for 1 or 2 nights of exploring Braga. It looked like in the pictures but the furniture and equipment was quite run down and there was a bit of mold on the bathroom ceiling. The blanket was quite thin and I was a bit cold in the night (we had the window open but it was only september).
Breakfeast was basic but fine - bread, croissants, ham, cheese, cereals, yoghurt, coffee, juice.
The staff was great, we had quick responses to any messages and they were very helpful and even let us drop our bags hours before check in.
The location is a big plus, right on a park square just outside of the historical center, we had window facing a back wall of a neighbour building, so no view but it was quiet. The bus station was just around 10 minutes walking.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
