The location is good, the room is clean and comfortable. There is nice kitchen and space to sit and eat. The view from the hotel is great!

Stunning location, wonderful staff, impeccable local food and drink. The facilities were well thought out and cared for from the lunge with the large terrace overlooking the lake to the infinity pool. Rooms were a nice size and all had a balcony to take advantage of the magnificent views. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful walks and impressive vistas wherever you looked. Quite magical place to immerse yourself in nature. We found it very hard to leave, I shall miss the quiet and the birdsong.
Casa Albelo do Gerês is a hidden gem. As the pictures suggest it is in a truly beautiful location. The hotel is very well kept and most comfortable. Fernanda and Miguel are exceptional hosts and the meals are superb.
To be honest we were a little disappointed with our stay in Casa do Palheiro. There were a few facilities listed that were not available on our arrival.
Although the upstairs had some form of heating available. The downstairs area remained cold throughout our stay. I asked the host vis WhatsApp about the wood stove and some logs to heat the place up and was informed that they don’t use the stove at this time of the year! Therefore, the downstairs area remind cold throughout our stay.
Arrived super early but room was ready so let me check in. Off road parking within the grounds for motorbike and able to park at rear out of sight although it’s a quiet place, beautiful views, good breakfast and room was very spacious clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful. Nearest super market was around 11km away. Petrol station just up the road and there’s a restaurant around 1.5k or so up the road that does lunch and evening meals.
Great location a few minutes drive from the city center (per Google, about 20 minute walk). Free private parking on sight. Quiet neighborhood. Well heated rooms, comfortable bed and pillows, slept well. Hot water and nice water pressure in shower. Friendly and helpful hostess recommended a nice restaurant in town for dinner. Highly recommend, would stay again.
Beautiful place for vacation. Great location, untouched nature, superior quality food, the hosts were cordial and generous with us. Casa Albelo is definitely one of the best destinations, where you can enjoy all the senses.
