Great place to stay in Castelo de Vide. Good breakfast. Right in the center of town and also close to the outside of the old town (where you need to park). The family room and the main rooms were quite large. Our upstairs couple room was on the smaller side but still plenty comfortable. There's a nice pool outside for summer use. A fire was lit and we kept it up in the living room. We used the generous living room a lot with 2 small children and cool weather. For a romantic stay book one of the bigger double rooms.

Despite the central location to Portagem town, the street it is located in is a quiet one.

Very quaint hotel very close to the castle, not that we could see it for fog and rain! And parking close by. Marvao is amazing, but the weather sent us home early. Teresa Isabel, our host was wonderful. The room was small, being old, but room for our dog. No dog supplement. Even a mini bar with reasonably priced drinks.

The idyllic peaceful rural location on a working farm with sheep with bells. Jose was a delightful host and the breakfasts were excellent.
Our room was spacious and the traditional stone building was nice and cool and the pool was great for cooling off. The bed was very comfortable.
There were some nice restaurants about half an hour's walk away and nearby Marvao is well worth a visit. We spent 4 nights here and enjoyed it very much. It is great if you are looking for peace and quiet.
Calm, quiet, excellent pool and brilliant hosts. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Breakfast was to die for - Loads of different continental options with regional products.
The Quinta is situated close to Castelo de Vide e Marvão which are lovely places to visit, however is in a remote enough location for it to feel like a break from a busy life.
Peace and quiet in the Alentejo. A beautiful location for a perfect stay. Wonderful room with great decor and superb attention to detail. Dalia is a perfect hostess; breakfast was exceptional with local products of the highest quality. A charming place to stay.
