Character hotel in a beautiful setting. Room was clean and comfortable. Claudia and the owner were very friendly and helpful. There is a village 1km away but for us the hotel had everything we needed. We cooked our own evening meal in the well equipped kitchen. Breakfast was provided and very tasty.

A lovingly restored old property at the heart of Pinhel. The house was very comfortable and bed was bed super comfortable and not mention huge. We were here just before Christmas so the fire place in the lounge area was on and as we were the only guests staying that time it was so wonderful the sit there and read on the evening. Maria and Pedro were so helpful as well.

Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
The breakfast was fantastic.. really delicious and plentiful. Margarita is the most amazing host and we loved spending time with her. We would go back in a heartbeat and can highly recommend.
We had such a lovely time. The hostess was so warm and interesting and the place is simply delightful in itself and in the middle of a quaint old settlement. We will go out of our way to stay here again. The breakfast was quirky but quite wonderful.
The location, the building, the gardens, pool . The breakfast choice was phenomenal better than a 5 star hotel breakfast. The host Patricia was lovely, very hospitable and there was plenty of room for my dog to run around. Very peaceful.
It's a lovely location, quiet with a great hill top breeze. The pool is really beautiful and I love the fact the swallows come every summer and skim the top of the water for a seconds as they fly over it. The space is really nice, breakfast is good and the hotel offers a lot of activities you can book up. The Wine tasting at Quinta do Ermervoira (spelling) and the boat trip are particularly good. If you go with children book one the suites- great value for a whole family. Also a very romantic spot for a couple.
