The place was great, nicely decorated and very clean, although we were only staying overnight on our trip from France to Porto. The host was very nice in coming to greet us after hours, and we managed to explain ourselves somehow with me not speaking Portuguese. A complimentary fruit basket was a very nice touch. Our Burmese cat was accepted without any issue (or cost) and seemingly also felt very comfortable.
Offering a shared lounge and garden view, Casa Vale de Azibo is set in Macedo de Cavaleiros, 28 km from Mirandela Medieval Bridge and 41 km from Braganca Castle.

Very cute house, near the heart of Mirandela, a very walkable city with some nice things to see. Great host, super nice and helpful! I would definitely recommend it!
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
The room had a modern design, is small but has fridge, tv and the pillows and mattress were very comfortable.
The hotel is in the middle of the countryside, very quiet for resting or hikings.
The breakfast is outstanding, homemade jams, cakes, etc. They use local products and the staff is very friendly and helpful.
Beautiful home to stay the night with wonderful hospitality. Very clean and quiet. Close to town, in a cute street. We felt very welcome and at home :)
