Amazing service, exceptional plce to rest! Very comfortable and chic inside. They reserve you the spa, so it feels like our personal spa for one hour. The wine tour was very good with virtual reality. Drinking porto at the Fireplace was amazing!

Situated in a beautiful village, the house met and exceeded all the needs for our short stay. You would need to have your own car to get to this village.
The downstairs sitting area and kitchen is spacious and comfortable. We didn’t use the kitchen other than to make tea and coffee, and the complimentary coffee capsules were greatly appreciated. We did note that the kitchen is very well equipped with all the necessary items for a comfortable and self catering stay.
The Wi-Fi speed is faster than most hotels we’ve stayed at. The bathroom is on the ground floor and is excellent, with a great shower and plenty of hot water.
Upstairs, the king size bed is very comfortable and we both enjoyed a great sleep. The church is really close and we so loved hearing the church bells ringing on the Sunday morning for mass. Parking is really easy just metres from the house. Refugio D’Anita is a place we would love to return to for a longer stay. The house is spotlessly clean from top to bottom. Thank you José

We had the most amazing stay at Casa do Poço. The house is huge, clean and very comfy, stocked with everything you might need. The view from the terrace is beautiful, we loved sitting out there with a glass of wine. We did a tour of the vinyard with the owner, it was great to learn more about how a family vinyard runs and the wine is delicious! We came with our 6 month old, who was very well catered for. Cannot recommend this place more! We hope to be back!

During our recent stay in October, my family and I had the pleasure of experiencing the enchanting Quinta Da Estrada guest house. Nestled in a picturesque setting, this charming place offered us a tranquil retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by our kindhearted host - Luis, who made us feel right at home. Shortly after he introduced himself to us, we sat down to check-in.
After chatting a little bit about our intended wishes for our stay, he took the time to make us a well-selected and thorough plan with nice restaurants, scenic viewpoints, characterful nearby towns, and general worth-the-visit place recommendations. Whilst exploring these places, we found ourselves immersed in the beauty of the region.
The guest house itself is beautifully surrounded by a variety of plants, vibrant vineyard fields, and an antique touch to the place, blending rustic charm with modern amenities, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Although the room was quite simple, after a day of exploring the surrounding area it still provided us a comfortable sanctuary.
One of the highlights of our stay was the delightful dinner and wine tasting. It was followed by Luis's detailed description, full of profound knowledge, about their outstanding wine and their cherished winery. As I listened to him talk, I could feel the love he has for his profession and the work that he does daily to keep the grapes healthy and thriving, therefore, to have the most flavorful wine.
And of course, I have to mention the friendly dogs who accompanied us the next day on our tour of the vineyard as our most trusted guides.
Overall, our stay at Quinta Da Estrada was more than pleasant. The combination of warmth, comfort, and picturesque surroundings made it an unforgettable family getaway. We eagerly look forward to returning to this little slice of paradise in the future!
Warm greetings from Latvia to Luis!

The location was lovely. Quiet with a pretty outlook. Plenty of space in our room and the kitchen was great. Plenty of easy parking too.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Beautiful location overlooking the Douro river. Nice room, super-comfortable beds with a great view and patio off the bedroom. The pool was great, overlooking the vineyards and river. Lovely breakfast. We couldn't speak Portuguese, but the hosts made us feel welcome.
Definitely one of most beautiful places I have ever seen. Big old house made of stones surrounded by flowers, winyards and gardens. Breathtaking wiew of Douro and the hills covered by winyards. The place is extremely quiet and friendly. Everything was clean and very cosy. Very good breakfast made partially from their own products. You can buy wine, which is also very good. Nobody speaks English, but you can easily communicate as the host family is very friendly.
The host Damiao was very friendly, the room was very quiet with a lovely view over the small village and Douro river and the breakfast was great. The location is perfect, with easy access to the wine estates and to Pinhao for the boat cruise, and walking distance to some restaurants. Great swimming pool.
I liked: - the friendly, attentive host;
- the beautiful, charming old house;
- the wine tasting and the wine in the hotel room for an exceptional price;
- the view of the river and the hills;
- the stylish interior design;
- the curious dogs;
- the fresh, homemade breakfast;
- the pool area inviting to chill at;
- the quiet location;
- nice hotel guests.
Lovely hosts. Homely atmosphere in quaint vintage farmhouse spotlessly clean. Enjoyed the views to the Douro River from the pool and our room. Great breakfast. Host offered a Port wine tasting in the cellar, best port I tasted in the Douro!
Good base to explore the Douro Valley.
Amazing property with fabulous views on the Douro river. The hosts are really welcoming, we even tasted porto made with the grapes grown on the property. The place is quiet and super clean. The breakfast was the best we had in Portugal. The perfect place to relax and from where to explore the Douro valley!
The breakfast on the balcony was perfect. We had an amazing view and the place was quiet. The communication was good. When we arrived, the host was not there, but we joined him easily by pushing a button connected directly to his cellphone. The size of the room was good.
