We went in December and we were quite surprised that we didn't have cold inside the hotel/room, even with the A/C turned off. The room is clean, small but cosy, with a beautiful view of the river and the location is perfect to explore the several trails around Gerês. For the breakfast we had several options and they were all amazing. The staff is helpful and really nice!

Very clean room with AC, great location with lots of parking space. There is a small kitchenette with a boiler, a microwave , an automatic coffee machine, and a nice patio with lemon trees and views to the river. the water in the bath can be super hot and with strong pressure you feel like you are in a spa. the room was spacious, the bad had reading lights. beds were confortable, despite of being 2 single beds with separated bedsheets.
be aware that the check-in is in the hotel on the other side of the road.

Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
It’s located in a beautiful
Village. Great for hikes.
It’s very clean and quiet, the family that owns it is super nice and breakfast and dinner was tasty.
Cute little guest house in an amazingly beautiful mountain village. Bed and room overall were bigger than we anticipated from pictures. Little fridge in the room was a nice bonus feature. Grateful the daughter spoke good English as our Portuguese isn't great!
Excellent modern facilities..exceptional restaurant..lovely hosts ..family business located in a rustic stone cottage village where the locals grow and press their own grapes. Easy access to the waterfalls and hiking trails. Stunning area to visit.
A wonderful family run hotel in the heart of the National Park. The family run the hotel, restaurant, bar and small shop in the same building. Our room was comfortable, clean and quiet. We had a lovely view from the velux windows but other rooms - lower down- had balconies. No problem for us as we had lots of wonderful views as we walked the 14km circular path from the door. It was amazing! The food was wonderful, freshly prepared, tasty and plentiful. We thoroughly recommend this place!!
