Huge and fantastic house in the center of the city. The house is just amazing, with 4 big and confortable rooms, a huge living room and meals room, a small tv room and a big kitchen. The 2 bathroons are very very good. The views are very nice, the house is quiet and very near the center of the city. Keep in mind that the house is in the higher part of town, so when returning from the river side you will need to walk uphill... but it is not that much and it is well worth it. Its a fantastic house.

We had the most amazing stay at Casa do Poço. The house is huge, clean and very comfy, stocked with everything you might need. The view from the terrace is beautiful, we loved sitting out there with a glass of wine. We did a tour of the vinyard with the owner, it was great to learn more about how a family vinyard runs and the wine is delicious! We came with our 6 month old, who was very well catered for. Cannot recommend this place more! We hope to be back!

Felipe was there when we arrived with a glass of port and his mother in law took over the day we left - both could not have been more helpful.
They arranged a taxi for us to go and eat in Regua, lovely.

Absolutely everything! From Mateus’ warm welcome with a refreshing glass of wine, to the beautiful traditional farmhouse complete with everything possible to make it feel like home! The views from every room (& especially the bedroom & infinity pool) overlooking the Duoro river was an absolute joy! The winery tour & tasting was fabulous & we were lucky enough to see the last of the port grapes being released & flowing into barrels!

The river house at the riverfront was amazing. Our hosts were very thoughtful and had wine, eggs n Veges kept on the house as there is no store or restaurant nearby. They had informed us well in advance and we bought groceries from Lidl before reaching there. The house is so cute and nice. You can see everything is done tastefully and with warmth by luis & Miguel. Miguel came to check on us if we wanted anything. Would recommend this place for sure when in Portugal. Can’t miss it. Wish we had one more day to stay!
Our stay with Cristina and Nuno was the absolute highlight of our vacation! Quinta da Travessa is the perfect place to explore the Douro-Valley and spent some relaxing and quiet days. Cristina and Nuno are very kind and attentive, they make you feel at home while you are staying with them. The breakfast is amazing and we can only recommend you book the dinner as well - since it was one of the best food we had during our travels. We would go back there in a second.
Charming spacious rooms, delicious and generous meals served. Nuno and Cristina are rock star hosts who understand attention to detail and go the extra mile to ensure their guests have the best experience. If you wish, in the evening the dining room transforms into a gracious space with candles, wine glasses and music to while away the hours. A delicious, carefully prepared 3 course dinner is served. Special mention to Thelma who is an integral member of the team.

Nuno and Christina are marvelous hosts, and the meals they served were superb. Definitely book yourselves in for the dinners they provide - well worth the 25 euros. It is a lovely, quiet area, and while the drive in does pose a challenge, the benefit you receive is an ideal stay in a charming location. Highly recommended!
