Everything..We booked the hotel so we could be able to travel to Valencia de Alcántara, Spain (my mom's hometown) which was having it's annual Festivity and Fairs.
The hotel was just perfect. 12 kms away, In a very tranquile town, with everything we needed to have a relaxing few days.
I will highly recommend it.
And next year we will definitely book there again!!

Very homey vila. The hostess was very nice and hospitable. She was very friendly and talkative. She worked very hard at making us feel at home. We could not take advantage of the surrounding because we got the late and it was raining very hard. Was very clean and comfortable.

We enjoyed our stay at this unique property. Our room was spacious and well-decorated, with the common areas providing additional space for relaxation and enjoyment. There were few guests when we stayed, so it was very quiet overall, and the outdoor areas were no longer usable, as the summer season was past. It’s a short walk into Castelo Vide, but otherwise a car is a necessity. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious!

Amazing 1926? building and stay at a now inactive building that is part of the closed Train Station next door. It looks like the Train Station but the ground floor has a large room with a fireplace that was used as a cafeteria eating area. No trains run on the railroad tracks and the location is very quiet day or night. The old kitchen where you make your own breakfast with owner-supplied bread, eggs, etc. has a fantastic original cast-iron range stove and huge marble sink. The entire ground floor is original. The second floor has upgraded bedrooms and bathrooms. Great exterior like Train Station with original Portuguese hand painted blue/white tiles. Hotel-recommended, nearby restaurants are excellent. The man and his sister who manage the hotel are friendly and very helpful. They are great hosts.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
We loved this guesthouse. The hosts were amazing and gave some advices of what to do in the area. The pool was also beautiful, as well as the huge garden and we absolutely loved the breakfast.
The apartment is located in the historic center of Castelo de Vide. It's an old house, but beautifully refurbished. It has everything needed to feel comfy, even a nice little terrace that was especially charming for having breakfast in the sun. Eduardo is an amazing host, always available for any question or assistance, friendly and with very good hints about activities or restaurants.
Our lovely host Ana met us when we arrived and immediately welcomed us with a cup of tea. She was a font of knowledge about Portugal and gave us many good tips on where we should visit. The surroundings were peaceful and quiet but not too far from places of interest. We had the use of a well appointed kitchen and Ana served us a delicious breakfast. We were very sad that we could only stay one night.
A most beautiful facility and great hosts. Absolutely outstanding and will definetly be back.
Travelled the Alentejo with my elderly Father-in-Law and we both enjoyed Quinta das Lavandas and strongly recommend it
The hotel and small guest house are very cosy, great views and sunsets. We stayed in the guest house and it was very nice. Beds were very comfy. AC worked perfect. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook small breakfast and light dinner. Both host and owners of the property were extremely nice and hospitable and made us feel at home
Quinta das Lavandas is a beautiful place, surrounded by nature and countryside trails perfect for walking or even running. The property itself is one of the most quiet, comfortable and beautiful rural places I've experienced in Portugal. The hosts Teresa and Estevão, and all the staff, were the most welcoming and helpful during our entire stay. And on top of all that the charming towns of Marvão and Castelo de Vide are just minutes away.
Theresa is a charming and generous host. Great room in a beautiful building in a heavenly setting. Peace and quiet and beauty. Lovely walks in the countryside from the Quinta. A short drive to Castelo de Vide and Marvão. Excellent breakfast. Outstanding!
Beautiful boutique hotel in the peaceful countryside, a stone throw’s from the lovely historical towns of Castelo de Vide and Marvão. Quiet, well appointed room with all the amenities and very comfortable bed. Breakfast was well appointed and we greatly appreciated the tip from the kind hosts. The property also has a lavender farm and we would love to come back in the spring when the plants are in bloom. Highly recommended!
