Everything! The host is so incredibly kind, one of the nicest people we’ve ever met in our travels! ☺️
The bungalow/house you get is very comfortable, and large! I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the island.
Close to restaurants and you have a snack bar right next-door, very close to the scuba diving center because that’s probably why you’re there (like us. Right?)
Don’t hesitate, book right away! 😊

Wonderful host, beautiful location, spotlessly clean, cosy bedroom. The water filter in the kitchen is a plus.

Rangiroa Bliss is as off-the-grid as you can get. "High-style" local Polynesian bungalows. Rainwater for the showers and toilets, bring your own drinking water, and solar electric (that worked most of the time). Fans and sea breezes, no A/C. No WiFi, "two-bar" cellular. Good for email, marginal for the internet.
There is a "road" to "town" but it doesn't connect to the road from the airport. On a busy day, maybe six cars went by. You want to escape traffic, this is the place. Boats are how you get around.
Snorkeling and kayaking right off the beach of our bungalow. Excursions to places around the atol come right to your deck to pick you up. There are some cool adventures, do them.
Ilona, the host, is an excellent cook. Polynesian comfort food. Take the meal plan. Bring your own alcohol and snacks for lunch. Easy to get a taxi to the local grocery store from the airport when you arrive, if you ask. Then, taxi will take you to the boat that shuttles you to the place.
Our cup of tea, we loved it. Your mileage may differ.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
Pierre is an excellent host, very personable and attentive. He helped us with anything we needed, such as planning and organizing day trips, or meals. He is very knowledgable about Rangiroa, and a great resource.
We stayed in a triple room with shared bathroom. It was great ! The room was simple but nice. The bathrooms were clean. The location right by the beach is a plus. They have their own small private beach. The bungalows looked nice as well. I would have booked those one, but they were already full.
The triple room comes with shared kitchen that has all the basic necessities to cook something.
The pension is 15 min by walk from the airport and max 3 min by walk from the supermarket.
The bungalow was very clean and new and had a lovely deck on the back. We had everything we needed with a small kitchen, bathroom and heat pump. There are small stores nearby, a good bar and good restaurant. Get to know the local taxi driver if you are staying for a longer time so you can also try other places in town. The host, Pearl, is very kind and helpful!
Great location (3 min from airport), newly renovated bungalows with spacious bedroom and comfortable bed and good fresh bathroom. Bar and restaurant are offering a great view on the sea and swimming pool. Good food with normal prices. Hotel offered also rental bikes and excursions. Just perfect to relax.
The host is sweet, caring and available to help for everything, the unit was very clean and comfortable, private and safe...bikes are available to move around, the town is close by, and can find some eating options nearby, as well as markets to get food if you prefer to cook. Good location also to visit the Pearl Farm (visits at 10 and 14) or to see a dancing show at Pension Cecile (on Thurs).
A fresh welcome bottle of water was highly appreciated!
This is really a small home with everything you might want including a nice kitchen, a washing machine, and compared to many places, quiet! You are within a 5 minute walk to 2 beaches (one inside the lagoon with some snorkeling and one on the ocean side, and both Top Dive and Yaka diving centers. You are within a 12 minute bike ride of the pier, restaurants, stores, and 6 Passenger dive center. Free airport pickup. Oh, and the best part is the hosts are absolutely wonderful and caring!
