Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
We love the time that we spent here. The hosts are great and really helpful. We came in the night with altitude sickness (due to our run over 5.000m on the way here) and hosts helped us a lot to deal with it. They support, help and do all to make our stay comfortable. Apartments are not really modern, but has everything you need. Especially hot water all the time. The food in the restaurant is not expensive and tasty. Bed was huge and comfy. And the nature outside is just gorgeous.
The staff at Le Foyer were very kind and helpful: they gave us good directions for hiking, helped confirm a tour reservation, and gave us a thermos of hot water with tea when we were not feeling well. Location was great for light hiking from this quiet town.
A lovely hostel in a beautiful area, staff were wonderful and very helpful, my room was very comfortable and a good breakfast each morning of my stay. Beautiful garden. Will be back!
We had an amazing stay. Emilio is a fantastic host and made us feel relly comfortable. We liked to have a chat with him and to get some insights about the region, traveling etc.
The room was really nicely designed and quiet. The food was one of the best we had in Peru, even the breakfast as well as the Lomo Saltado in the restaurant – yummy.
