The entire staff was very welcoming and friendly, made sure that our stay was comfortable and if we had questions they would answer them and would even recommend spots to go eat or go explore and sight see. Breakfast was always great, again staff was very friendly.

I liked the location a lot, as it is really close to the city centre! On top of that the host was really welcoming and flexible in terms of check in and check out times. The room as well as the shared garden was really nice and the host had a lot of tips for things to do in the area.
It’s a quiet hostel located really close to plaza de armas, it has a beautiful garden and the host, Rafael is the best host you could ask for. He was so helpful with everything and gave me advice which ultimately helped me to have very good experiences and memories from Cajamarca .

We had an excellent stay at Ruta Alterna. Carlos the owner made us feel very welcome and went out of his way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. He had awesome recommendations for venues in the neighbourhood and places to see. What a generous and charismatic host!
The location was quiet and away from the center but close to the market and a big mall where you can stock up on everything you need.
