Bait Al Aali Guesthouse, hotel in Al Ḩamrāʼ

45 km from Nizwa Fort, Bait Al Aali Guesthouse is located in Al Ḩamrāʼ and provides air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. The property features quiet street views.

Where to even start - its an old traditional Omani house that has been renovated as a guesthouse. The lady that hosts is amazing - friendly, knowledgeable and kind. We stayed 4 nights as we thought Al Hamra would be the best place to explore all the nearby attractions/activities, which there are many. Breakfast and Dinner were home cooked everyday and were also incredibly tasty and traditional too! Room is spacious and bed was extremely comfortable (and we are quite picky with our beds and sleep), but do note that the room is renovated to keep it traditional so in terms of furniture its a bed and nights stands, so we did live out of our suitcases, which was not an issue for us ! Another thing to note for some future picky quests - this is situated in the old village/area of Al Hamra so you are surrounded by ruins. For us that was an interesting experience, but for others it might not be

Bait Aljabal Hospitality Inn, hotel in Al Ḩamrāʼ

Offering a terrace, Bait Aljabal Hospitality Inn provides accommodation in Al Ḩamrāʼ. It is set 44 km from Nizwa Fort and features room service.

The authenticity of the Inn. Renovation works have respected a traditional Omani style. The evening dinner was the best Omani food we experienced during our 2 week road trip; very tasty and not too hot. The walk in the Oasis was also a great experience where we met a group of 12 yr old Omani schoolgirls who were excited to speak to us in English,

Al Hamra Old House, hotel in Al Ḩamrāʼ

Located within 44 km of Nizwa Fort in Al Ḩamrāʼ, Al Hamra Old House features accommodation with seating area.

The historical nature of the house, and its position on the edge of the old town and palmery. The roof terrace is pleasant. Babul tries very hard to be helpful. The surrounding area is interesting and unspoilt so far.

Alqalah Inn, hotel in Al Ḩamrāʼ

Situated in Al Ḩamrāʼ, 44 km from Nizwa Fort, Alqalah Inn features air-conditioned accommodation and a shared lounge.

This old house that's made into a Guest House is located in the old town, not far from Bait Al Safa Museum. The rooftop terrace is overlooking the palm Grove, very nice view! As a solo traveler without a car I am dependent on taxidrivers and Faisal went out of his way to meet my needs and always found transport for me during the 3 days I spent there. In this way I could enjoy the highlights of Al Hamra for which I thank him!

Great location, with easy access to nearby sites and also close to facilities in town. The room itself was very comfortable and nicely decorated. But more than anything, the hosts were super kind and helpful!

Bait Al Aali is such a unique guesthouse. An old building but very well refurnished and comfortable. The room was super clean. And the bed was so comfortable. But most impressive thing during my stay was the host who was very kind and attentive. Two thumps up. Highly recommended.

Hamza truly is a great host, he is kind and caring and obviously loves to welcome guests. The inn is located within the palm grove, which makes the stay quite authentic. Staying here for the whole evening and enjoying the homemade food and the peace and quiet that the place offers is a must. Thanks again! Gauthier

Everything was great. The host is friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean, wifi great, breakfasts are big and tasty. The common area in front of the rooms is extraordinary! Perfect for kids and adults as well. There is even a little swimming pool (protected by the fence). You can see the surrounding mountains from the yard. There are some goats, sheeps, rabbits and even a camel in the backyard garden (ask the host to take you there). The guesthouse is in the quiet area at the end of the town BUT still VERY close to the main street.

The guest house is a traditional clay house. Very charming and with a lot of charcter. So far it is the only house on the street that has been renewed. Hopefully more will follow. The owner is lovely and very helpful with anything. We talked to him and he recommended some things to do around the town and also told us about the history of the house. The guest house is very quiet since there are only about ten rooms and it has a wonderful atmosphere because of the clay. From the rooftop terrace there is a gorgeous view over the oasis

If you are looking for an experience, not just a place to sleep, this guesthouse is a must. It's a traditional mud house with an authentic design, frankincense aroma, and an ultra-hospitable host who told us all about the area and great places to visit. There is a nice rooftop where you can chill and drink tea. The village where it's located is also charming. Despite this house being old, it is very comfortable to stay in, all the amenities are there. The bed was comfortable, the water hot, the room was exceptionally clean
