It's a bit remote, but that's one of the reasons we picked it! Overlooks Lake Tarawera and the magnificent sleeping volcano (I could never tire of these views)! Lamees and Fred were fabulous and kind. The apartment was comfortable, peaceful, and beautifully decorated. The couch (all the furniture and the entire place was built by Fred and it is so ingenious) looks so uncomfortable in the photos but is really nicely comfortable. Having the fridge stocked with snacks and breakfast foods was a beautiful touch. It had all we needed and then some. The views, the hosts, the accommodations were all excellent!

Very cozy and private with a gorgeous view. Great location - easy drive to all the lakes, a little out of town so nice and quiet. Hosts were very friendly and suggested some great walks.
It has a hostel/ student dorm atmosphere, but eith families and adult guests, which can be charming. It’s a cheap place at a good location. The bes was really comfortable, although the sheets were a bit tired. All in all, if you don’t expect much, you won’t be dissapointed.
This is an amazing place to stay. Great location just outside Rotorua and really easy to get to all the tourist places. The view down to the lake is great.
The apartment is huge, super clean and separate from the owner’s house. The deck has views toward the lake and was a lovely place to have dinner - prepared in a modern kitchen with everything you’d ever want.

Great host who can also organize different activities in the area. Nice breakfast including interesting conversations. The location is very quiet but still not far from restaurants and shops.
Well equipped, quiet and charmingly decorated flat in walking distance of city center and main attractions. Although the access was with key code which often makes accommodation rather impersonal , the friendly owners kept regular contact to ensure everything was to our satisfaction. The jacuzzi was a plus. Would certainly stay there again.
