The longer we stayed here the more we liked it! The location is wonderful - just a very short walk to downtown Russell with shops and restaurants. And what you get in exchange is an incredible view! Bed was the comfiest of our trip - cushy and soft but not saggy at all. Good a/c but nice to have the doors open in the daytime. Lots of good walks and we swam a few times at the beach that was 2 minutes away. Great stay!

Location is key here. Close to two beaches and two wonderful walking tracks as well. only 2 min by car to Russell Township itself and about an hour on foot (one can combine two lovely shaded walking tracks for that). Russell's Long Beach (another fab swimming beach) is only about 5 min by car. The room is spacious and has all the amenities one would need for a short or longer stay (sorry no kitchen but there are plenty of good restaurants in Russell). Tapeka is the quiet suburb of Russell and if one is lucky one can view kiwi if going out at night.
Set in the Bay of Islands, Fantail River Lodge offers a garden. All rooms feature a TV with satellite channels and a private bathroom. Rooms come with a balcony with views of the garden.

Stunning accommodation, exceptional breakfast and an amazing host . We went sailing yesterday and returned to a freshly baked loaf of bread . I wish we could have stayed longer.

We didn't have breakfast during our stay but next time will definitely take the opportunity. We were able to get a courteousy van from Homestead to pick us up and drop us off so we could enjoy a couple of beers. Lovely stay there and so thankful for the return of my phone. Great BnB John and Diane.

The cute little self-contained cottage was so clean, quiet and comfortable, so pretty with the fairy lights out on the front. So lovely of the host to hose down our car which was covered in leaves as it was parked under a tree. Thank you.
Mike was extremely helpful and friendly - giving us loads of information on walks we could do. The property was absolutely beautiful with amazing views. The room itself was really clean and well maintained and very quiet. The breakfast was delicious with different fresh fruit every morning. Mike is a great host and we will definitely be back and will recommend this place to our friends. We really appreciated Mike's knowledge and friendly personality.
We had a wonderful 3 nights in Allegra. Lovely views, very clean and quiet; and great hosts with good recommendations. We didn’t have the property breakfast as we never woke up for it, which we subsequently regretted as the quality seemed significantly better than what you can get in Paihia.
That was very great hostel. It was very cheap price accomodation and facilities was very good. The kitchen was very clean and the staff was very friendly. The common area is speciaous with beautiful scenes and the beds are very great with curtains for privacy. It is one of the best hostel.
Everything!! The chalet was spacious, very clean with a very comfy bed. It was equipped with everything we needed for our 4 day stay...wished we could've stayed longer. Easy to find, great location, lots of privacy, beautiful garden, and pretty much within walking distance to the main town centre and ferries. Super well equipped if you choose to cook your own food and a great host.
Probably the best B&B we have stayed in anywhere on the planet. Location was a bit south of the town Paihia, about 2 kms but it is quiet and very very comfortable. Pictures on website are accurate. It was SPOTLESS and spacious. Sue and Danny were great hosts. Breakfast was continental style.
Loved the view from Unit 3. We really appreciated the privacy and peace and quiet. That was exceptional. Great hosts. And grateful to have a kitchen and cooking facilities
