The Waiheke Guest House had a lovely eclectic vibe, full of plants and fun knick knacks. Our room was very comfortable and felt private, but the rest of the house was shared, which was nice for meeting other travelers. Communication with reception was great. Wish we could have stayed longer!
Wild Thyme is located a 15-minute walk from Oneroa Village and a 35 minute ferry ride from downtown Auckland. Free WiFi and free private parking are available.

La Bodega is the ideal place to unwind and enjoy Waiheke wine. The photos don't do it justice as the views are just breathtaking. We had everything we needed to enjoy our stay, the fridge was stocked with breakfast staples enough for our 3 night stay (orange juice, milk, bacon, fresh fruit, croissants, and more) and the kitchen was equipped with clean cooking utensils.
2.7 miles from Wild on Waiheke in Te Whau Bay, The Cottage at Te Whau Retreat - Stay Waiheke offers accommodations with access to a hot tub.

We had a great time at the cottage. Everything matched what was advertised. We loved the spa and the view we had from the spa. Really appreciated the design and layout of the house. When we came back in the afternoon the cottage was warm, naturally heated from the sun streaming in through the ranch sliders.
The property is around a 6-minute walk from Oneroa Beach, 0.7 miles from Little Oneroa Beach, and 4.5 miles from Wild on Waiheke.

This is a great place to use as home base for touring Waiheke Island. The location is great, we easily walked into the restaurant shop area and visited a couple of wineries on foot. The room was quiet making it easy to sleep on the comfortable bed. The room was beautifully decorated and very clean. Everything we needed was there. Our host,Heidi, was welcoming and made sure our island visit was as great as possible with her tips and advice about seeing what Waiheke has to offer.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
Stayed here for 3 nights and absolutely loved every moment! I’d highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for a quiet, beautiful home in the heart of nature. The wine tour with Nicky (the host) was equally amazing! A truly great way to see the island and spend a day getting to know about the delicious grape juice this island has to offer. I’ll be back again for sure!
The location was wonderful. The Peace and quiet was just what I was looking for. It was a pleasure listening and watching the birds as the went about their business. Our host was excellent and very easy to talk to. Interaction with the other guest was great as we all got on well together. I highly recommend this guesthouse and will be back again Ngā mihi nui kia tātou katoa.
We arrived to be told there was limited water so 3 mins showers. The toilet stated'only flush when brown' the guest house was generally dirty and had cobwebs. The garden was totally over grown and not the relaxing space it was portrayed to be. The hot tub was not working and apparently has not been for months. Lastly the space was meant to be for us only as we took all 3 rooms however the host sat out in the patio drinking his coffee and reading a book every morning. Very disappointing for us and we left 1 day early.
Beautiful breakfast basket & platter. Great massage & pedicure! Lovely spacious very comfortable room. Great host =) Look forward to coming back another time.
Nice and quiet, great location to get away and be in a quieter area on the island. Cute little boathouse and a nice area to relax outside. Lovely location! If you have a bus card, the bus stop is not far away, however if you don't, this location is quite far from the main tourist spots of Waiheke.
