We loved this stay! The location was perfect for us as we wanted to hike in the Karangahake Gorge and several hikes started across the street from the property. Anita, the property owner had lots of good advice on which hikes to do (and where to swim in the nearby rivers) and provided us with a map we used during our hikes. She also had good advice on nearby restaurants. The facilities were great. Our room (#1) was large, clean, and comfortable. The shared kitchen had lots of dishes and utensils for cooking and we took advantage for breakfast and lunches. The hot tub was really appreciated after our hikes! We enjoyed the family atmosphere which allowed us to meet and talk with the young ladies working there as well as other guests. We would definitely stay here again if we get back to the area.

Great location if you want to go for walks by the river. There is a really great open fire to sit by outside and the hosts keep it burning if you want them to. There are also two spa pools to choose from. The upstairs family unit is huge.
