My husband stayed alone because I was unwell and thought the room was lovely. He couldn’t sleep on the second night due to something scraping loudly on the roof so he drove home to Dunedin in the wee small hours! He said the bed was very comfortable though and the room was well equipped.

Lovely place, very comfortable and clean. The owners are kind and helpful!
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Well-appointed and comfortable unit with view of the grapevines from your patio. Bbq to cook an easy dinner and an assortment of breakfast items delivered to room...what is there not to like?
Great hosts and a wine tasting of River Rock wines was a bonus. Great location to explore Cromwell area.
Sam and Fred were great hosts, providing amazing home prepared breakfasts. They took time to talk about the house and surrounding area, offering suggestions of where to eat and places to visit.
The room was separate from the main house, very private with great facilities.
It was a short walk to Lake Dunstan track, and a few minutes to get to The moorings for dinner.
Situated in a quiet cul-de-sac, it was a short drive to the main road between Cromwell and Wanaka.
Was a great location, quiet and welcoming environment , Donald and sally were excellent hosts and nothing was an issue will absolutely be staying again in future.
A welcome bottle of riesling and a friendly host. Quiet, modernised, charming old cottage. For example, the walk-in pantry must be a hundred years old but it has a good fridge/freezer. Modern shower room. The garden has shades of Beatrix Potter including a family of bunnies that hop around at dusk!
AWESOME place to stay. Everything was perfect, from the substantial breakfast to wine tasting and bbq facilities on the deck outside the unit. This is a boutique winery with amazing units set in the vineyard. Our hosts Graeme and Jan-Marie were fun and great hosts, who love their job and happy to share their wine creations.
Unfortunately, we did not use the hot tubs, definitely on the list for our next stay.
