The best homestay I've ever stayed in..
Prem and his family are the greatest people I've met in Nepal ( and I mean it!!). You will have an opportunity to stay with many locals and share about their culture. A lot of cute kids were always playing around, so the place was really lively.
The food was excellent and the room & bathroom were sparkling clean!
The village of Namobuddha is very authentic and the scenery stunning.
If you're lucky enough, you will also have the opportunity to meet Ian who lives there and runs a charity association to provide water pipelines for remote villages.
Trust me, go there ...that's the kind of place you will never forget.

Breakfast is generous and very good. Airport transit and day trips were arranged by the guest house. I highly recommend Peacock Guest House.

Excellent vacation very close to Durbar square and the sites of Bhaktapur. A lovely rooftop for sitting and catching a sunrise view of the Himalayas. The room was spacious, very clean, and quite comfortable. The proprietors were welcoming and kind and the guesthouse is full of exquisite carvings done by the patriarch of the family. Overall an outstanding find and we would definitely stay again!

Beautiful location and traditional design, good value for money
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
Shila was the perfect host, she welcomed us and was full of useful information! She even let us leave our bags with her whilst we went on a 2 day hike. So attentive & kind 😊
The hostess and her family made sure that we felt at home straight away. Everything was clean and comfortable. I had an amazing cooking lesson when we prepared the main meal together. I also got a lot of help planning the next part of my trip. Thank you Sila!
Nice and comfortable accomodation, quiet and pieceful. Shila and Ashok are wonderful hosts in Panauti and will help with everything you need. Shila is a great chef and so we could eat together super delicious traditional meals. Ashok is working as a guide too and it was very interesting and helpful to talk to him about our trekking programs. 24h hot shower guaranteed and perfect stay for few days just to relax and maybe do some day hiking. Thank you again for everything.
Warm, charming and friendly family that offered a wonderful insight into local life and daily activities. Delicious homecooked food. Excellent walking tour around village. We had great henna designs applied by daughter in law. Clean bathroom and small but perfectly fine bedroom.
A good location, slightly out of town but still easy to walk to the old town, bus park, town center and near the interesting triveni ghat.
The host gave us a warm welcome offering tea and biscuits on arrival and was friendly and kind during our stay.
