The freedom, to have a seat in front or the back of the pension. To use facilities, perfect!
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
check-in was ok. Our room was not located in the hotel but a few houses next to it. This was very quiet, with a little garden, very quiet with view over the water.
The apartment develops in two floors; ground floor has the kitchen and the bathroom full of all accessories and necessities; The host provided us with nice Frisian Sugar Bread, some lemon curd cakes and plenty of tea bags and coffee. The beds are on the second floor, which is spacious, well lit and comfy. There is also a sink to brush your teeth w/o need to go downstairs. The small living area facing the street is very cozy and relaxing.
The place is really in the heart of the village.
The host provided good information about the city and he/she replied to my messages very quickly. The accommodation is very cozy, quiet, and wonderful. I recommended it to everyone!
Great location in the centre of this quiet, cosy northern town. Parking nearly in front. Nice room, good beds, good bathroom, friendly staff. No airco but window open at night was no problem, no traffic. Excellent Thai food at 100 m, and several bars in 2 minutes walk.
Quaint, quiet hotel in an excellent location by a scenic canal near the town centre. Plenty of parking spaces. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was fine, but we had to ask for milk for the cereal + tea, as there was none out. Not a problem, as we were given some immediately. The Frisian cinnamon-sugar bread in the breakfast selection was really delicious with our tea / coffee.
The place is quite modern (unlike most B&B we stayed in), with soothing interior colors and design. We have the whole studio to ourselves. Family hosts were quiet hospitable. Host also recommended a good place to eat in Dokkum centrum.
Breakfast was quite a feast (for the additional 42 euros incl tax) that we paid for 2 adults and a child.
Nice and quiet location in a charming town. Big room, nice bathroom. Friendly staff.
