We are unfortunately not very happy from our trip to Big room.
The host is good but not very well help by the cleaners. The first night is our fault and we are sorry for you because you can’t rent it for the night. Even if we pay !
1 hour waiting outside so 1 hour less in Amsterdam. No shower gel in the bathroom so we cannot take a shower at night. No toilet paper in the toilet so we cannot go to te toilet until the next morning. Very cold into the bathroom and no carpet.
And the fact that we can’t lock the door from the inside, into the bedroom, is very VERY uncomfortable.
Good point to the host who is obliging and adapts easily. But he's ignoring me from 2 months at now.
Bad point to all the situations that have to make the host adapts.
I had to go into the apartment of the Host to take some Toilet paper. I don't have to go to the bedroom of the host to have toilet paper....
Pay 164€ the night for this is sad, our point of view.

Fantastic location within minutes from Haarlem Train Station. Really quirky and quite area, 10 minutes walking from town centre main square. Super comfortable apartment, warm & welcoming, all amenities provided. Lovely kind landlady welcoming you. I had an amazing stay.

Great Location! If you are looking for a hostel that is "just" outside the city centre (in a quiet, secluded area) then I would highly recommend this place. You are a stone throw away from Amsterdam Centraal Station across the channel (via a free public ferry).

Great location near the city centre but distanced from the crowds. Great hosts and atmosphere, clean and well decorated quiet room with a private bathroom, a tiny fridge, a kettle, a coffee machine and a toaster so you can have a simple breakfast at home.
Feels more like a simple but functional dutch home rather than a hotel or hostel.
