Had a great stay at La Gloria. Calm place in a remote and extremely beautiful location surrounded by greenery just in front of the lake. Great spot for sunset. The food at the restaurant is very good too, highly recommend

The location is beautiful!! Beach huts are clean, comfortable and cozy. The lake is on your doorstep with views of the volcano to your right and a great sunset bar to your left. An island paradise with lovely dogs, chickens, a cat, ducks along with a friendly and helpful owner. Scooter access is 100% okay! There is a restaurant next door but if you want to go to others it’s a close 10min drive. Look no further and stay here!

You can tell this hostel was put together over years with care and attention. Furniture is all handmade by local craftsmen, for example. I spent way too much time in one rocking chair that I wanted to take home with me. Estelle the owner and her family give it a very homey touch. Filtered water is free! Highly recommend it.

Very relaxing, quiet and the couple who owns the place were exceptional, bringing delicious breakfast every day, fresh fruit and juices and happy to chat with me and help with my Spanish skills. I really enjoyed staying here and would book again in an instant if I come back to Ometepe.

Lovely little hostel with very friendly staff. Perfect location if you want to stay near the ferry port. Great value and had a private en suite room here for same price as a dorm elsewhere

We felt very safe. While many other travelers mentionned having many bugs in other hostels, we had very clean rooms. The common areas are beautiful!! Our breakfast was delicious. The staff was very helpful whatever we asked them. They even helped us to find a really good massage that came directly to the Hostel!
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
It's a family-run Hostel/Homestay with very friendly owners. Super cool and very authentic, located in the jungle where you have screaming monkeys in the morning and fireflies in the evening. Amazing view over Concepción volcano. You can eat here or at Comedor Cristina 300m north fairly cheap. Tap water is drinkable. It's pretty quiet and not as frequented as other parts of the island. Showers and toilets are in the rooms, just as fans and power plugs. It's near to San Ramón waterfall and Maderas hiking trail.
Family-run business, extraordinarily friendly and helpful, beautiful location off the grid, very quiet, great view, superb (and very fresh and made from scratch) food..
I had an amazing time, all the staff were so nice, the location is beautiful! Wish I had had more time to extend my stay!
The hospitality of the hosts was really incredible. They -and their entire staff- made you feel right at home. Thanks again for making us feel this way!! The food was also amazing. Everyday the menu switched and you’ll have different options to choose from. Everything equally good. The place itself is amidst pure nature and very cool to get the gardentour where you can see all kinds of animal and plants/trees.
It was an amazing place.
Great food.
I will definitely recommend this place.
The sunset is just amazing from the tree deck by the lake.
Very quiet and isolated place just how I like.
Thanks for such a nice welcome.
The place is very open to nature which we liked a lot. Mosquitonets were good quality and doing their job, so we still felt comfortable during the night. sometimes it got a little windy, but they gave us extra blankets so not a problem. They serve very delicious food (big portions) for a good price. The family who runs the place is absolutely adorable and makes you feel so welcome. They offer cheap tours as well, we went kayaking and hiking Maderas vulcano with them and had an amazing experience.
It's a nice family place with beautiful garden. The food was delicious. Owners are very helpful and attentive. Quiet place where you can relax, read a book or do yoga. The waterfall is 20 min walk from the hostel.
