Very Charismatic owner! The location was close enough to the main town to have all the amenities but far enough to feel rural.

A quaint, family-run place. It was super nice to be able to rent scooters right at our hostel and for a good price! The private bathroom was small but nice to have.

This place is great! The value is amazing - one of the lowest prices we’ve found for a private room with private bathroom in almost 6 months of travelling in Latin America. Our room was clean and spacious, wifi worked well, there is a nice garden, and the location is good. There is a small kitchen which was a nice surprise since it wasn’t listed as an amenity on Booking. Danilo is a great host and speaks English very well. Also used him as a guide up Conception volcano and he was great. It also sounds like he has plans to invest more into the hostel so it will be even better!

Location is good (easy enough walk to/from town and the ferry) Luis, who handles the scooter rentals on site, was very friendly and reasonable with the price and everything

The location is beautiful!! Beach huts are clean, comfortable and cozy. The lake is on your doorstep with views of the volcano to your right and a great sunset bar to your left. An island paradise with lovely dogs, chickens, a cat, ducks along with a friendly and helpful owner. Scooter access is 100% okay! There is a restaurant next door but if you want to go to others it’s a close 10min drive. Look no further and stay here!
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
clean, quiet, beautiful garden, nice kitchen and super friendly and warm host. The owner even gave me some of her Lunch for free when I got stuck in the hostel due to the rain outside. They are just lovely family that provides the best for you !
Lovely family run property with breakfast available if you want.
Maybe 1 block from the main road.
I stayed in the dorm which I had to myself apart from 1 night - has a fan which is great and a private bathroom.
This is a Guest House not a hostel so I had to ask for hot water for my tea but it wasn’t a problem.
I had the most contact with Narcy who kept me from being incredibly ripped off for an island tour….I did it with her and it was a great day!
Narcy also has a beauty salon at the front and I got my nails done for only 200 cordobas :)
I really enjoyed my stay at Hostal Gran Jade. It has a great location, walking distance from the ferry port, scooter rental and different restaurants and supermarket. The room was clean and spacious, with a fan. Bathrooms were clean, they also dispose over a small kitchen area and a common area with tables and hammocks. Workers are super friendly and helpful. WiFi is working. All in all really beautiful, nice vibe, def recommend.
Enjoyed my stay at the Rancho a lot! Very quiet and relaxing location, definitely out of town down the sandy road and past the local family houses. Rural and calm. Breakfast was delicious and room very clean. The hosts were kind and helpful. Offered some information and recommendations about what to do & see on the island, lent a scooter and helped with transport.
Beautiful off the grid experience yet close to the main town.
I liked the quietness of the place and the spacious room. The hosts were also very welcoming. The guesthouse has also a very nice patio, and a big shared kitchen.
Nice guesthouse tucked away in a quiet part of Moyagalpa. Rooms were big and confortable, nice outdoor space to sit out and relax. In the village but still feels you are in the country side. Host was sound out, did the La Concecption hike with him and was really good
José is a really great host that I can only recommend. His place is a 15 minute walk away from the center of Moyogalpa, very quiet, no party hostel. Kitchen can be used, room was spacious and quiet, with mosquito nets. A great place to explore this part of Ometepe and e.g. hike the volcano Concepción.
A great hostel owned by a lovely family who make everyone feel welcome. It's in a great location, clean rooms, comfortable beds and even has a view of the volcano on the balcony. Rented a scooter through them and had a great day exploring the island. Would have liked to have stayed longer, hope to come back one day.
