A lovely property with plants and cats. The room was excellent value with AC, fan, quite spacious with private bathroom and hot water. great 24 hour WiFi. In a peaceful residential area. Owner is attentive when u need him but leaves u to your privacy. Free tea and coffee and hot water machine. washing machine in the common area. I extended my stay because the longer I stayed the more I liked it and didn't want to leave. spotlessly clean.

Location above a mall. Spacious 3 bedroom high floor unit with a sun shine balcony overlooking the city. Quiet. Good Security. Good WiFi. Work area. Hard bed. Aircond. Hot water. Washing machine. Netflix. Good communication with host. Near to airport. Cheap grab to city. Value for money.
Did not use pool, gym, sauna etc on level 6.
This guest house is in a great location close to the waterfront. The host is incredibly friendly and helpful. He provided many suggestions for activities and transportation. He even picked us up from the airport, as he was nearby. We were able to leave luggage on the day of our checkout before our late flight. Good AC, consistently hot water, great restaurant downstairs. Would happily stay here again.
The house is spacious with a top notch furniture and amenities. As a first time traveller in kuching and bring a van of families, this house offers a great location (which is not a crowded area) between airport and city center, ground floor parking area, smart gated system and comfortable family stay. The host also very attentive to answer all queries.
It was a great pleasure to stay at Merdeka Guest House! Firstly, the host - he is super helpful, friendly, we spent great time together, he recommended fantastic local spots, made a little foody surprise in the mornings, even helped us find good cheap durian to try! Secondly, the room - it's small but clean and you have everything you need. It was one of our best stays in Malaysia.
Staying at the house felt as if I am staying at my own home. The house has all the necessary amenities and situated in a quiet neighbourhood, not too far from the city centre and the airport, if you were driving that is. And of course the hosts were extremely helpful and friendly.
Jane and Sam are warm, engaging and considerate hosts who'll do their very best to ensure that you enjoy your stay with them and in Kuching! The breakfast is great (for a guesthouse) with oats, fruits, fried noodles/rice, eggs and spreads, the guesthouse charming and cosy (albeit a bit rundown), and only 15min walk from the waterfront. It's also a great place to meet other travellers, if you're so inclined:)
The location was pretty good, geographically close to the city centre. The accomodation is the cheapest room that you can have your own space and your own shower+toilet. The room comes with mini-TV and mini-fridge. There's also cutleries and shared kitchen space should you need to use it.
The accomodation is quiet and perfect if you need to get away from hustle and bustle of activities.
