Good location. Rooms and bathrooms were clean and big in comparaisok with other hostels. Quite enviromemt. Bobo, who attended me, was very nice and so helpful every time I needed something. I truly recommend to stay in this hostel!

Arthur, Howie and Amit were like fairy godfathers during my stay there. They took care of every little detail during my stay better than any 5-star hotel could. There was always some local, vegetarian-friendly specialty for us to sample in the morning, in addition to bread and hot beverages. They had provided many suggestions of things to do, but they had never tried to sell any tours or packages, so I knew I could trust their recommendations. Filtered water and earplugs were available, the WiFi was strong, the cats were adorable, the property was kept clean, and the location could not have been better. Tourist attractions were within walking distance and public buses were plentiful just a 1-minute walk away.

Aayu Melayu is a great place to wind down after a good day's visiting George Town.
It's very close to extremely good eateries and Shane took the time to provide us with some itineraries that could have been our go-to if we hadn't prepared in advance.
He also sent us several map lists with good spots to visit and eat, which came really in handy and I highly recommend you use them.
The high ceilings help keep the building cool, and good effort has been put in to accommodate european travellers.

The room is spacious, great to have hanging rack, hair dryer, small kitchen, Plenty of bathrooms so you're not waiting, good water pressure, secure front door. Fast WiFi, nice enclosed lounging area. This was one of the better places i stayed for the value throughout several months in south east Asia.

Beautiful view on the rooftop unit (balcony) facing wonderful Komtar .. the whole place is super clean , and our room as well ! Spacious and private room with the en suite bathroom. Everything was so comfortable.

Great location! The host is super helpful and prompt response when we have an issue with the stay. The host is definitely one of the most helpful one I have ever met and the main reason why I still give a good reviews as conclusion.
The security guard is very nice and helpful which kinda surprised me as it was different from what I saw in the previous reviews. The view is really nice from the room, and the room is really value for the second room I get, room is big and even have 2 bathroom in the unit.
Great location if you arrive by train. The proximity to the Butterworth train station allowed me to get there within 5 minutes of getting a Grab. There is a supermarket just next to the accommodation and an eatery just across the road. The host was very prompt in responding to our requests. Views were great!
