Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
I really loved to be in the jungle, away from the traffic of the city center but close enough (5 min by car) for all the services. Cabañas are comfortable with big beds and private gardens, the property is super nice, with a pool, big gardens, restaurant and hammocks. It’s a safe and quiet area.
Great location in the leafy area of Canada in Palenque. We usually stay in hostels but this was worth the extra money for the great facilities - well equipped room with fridge, TV, Aircon, showers etc and lovely pool and sunbathing area. The staff were very helpful. We were able to use the facilities outside of our check out / in times which was extremely helpful with early / late buses. Very comfortable stay, highly recommend.
Great location for the train station. Lovely outside space where you can watch tree lizards. Strong aircon in the room, nice clean facilities and the host made us some coffee when we arrived.
We loved to stay in the middle of the jungle. The pool was great. We appreciated the breakfasts as well as the dinner! Great hosts, always friendly and supportive.
Great people, great hostel!
I was robbed my passport and cb (in ADO night bus) and they let me stay for free as much as necessary and helped me with calls etc. the hostels itself is great, near the bus station everything is at walkable distance including the ruins apparantly. the rooftop is nice with good wifi. There is kitchen, gameroom and a constant flow of nice backpackers coming in. The bed are very comfy and steady with load of space in the room. Area around seems calm, cctv inside with kindest host ever!
very good communication with the host, easy access, quiet area (it also seemed very safe), clean room and bathroom, comfortable bed, good light (also at the bedside which is rare :D), coffee machine incl. coffee.
Good value for money in a very nice, calm area. 3 min to ADO bus station and collectivos for Palenque ruins, city center also very close and restaurants also.
Staff was amazing and supported us in everything. We had all what we need and since our bus left very late at the checkout day we spent all the time in the hostel.
The room was clean and comfortable with the largest bed we've ever seen (as the mid point on a hostel based backpacking trip this was heaven). The pools were cleaned daily and super refreshing for a dip. We ate breakfast when we could in the hotel the hot cakes were delicious. Cheap trip into town or to the ruins via colectivo or taxi. Loved the sound of the howler monkeys around the site!
Very nice hotel just right across the street of ADO station. The ruins are super close. The hotel is in a hotel area in Palenque, lovely and quiet. However, to do the shopping or eat cheap street food (restaurants are pricey) need to walk a bit to the city center.
I liked the pool. Also, I could stay after checking out while waiting for my night bus.
