Casa Alkimia was the perfect location for our 10-day honeymoon. Paradise beyond our expectations! Yes, we loved the busy beaches, amazing restaurants, all the happy cacophony of the north of the island, walking Hidalgo, just like everyone else. But when we returned to our room, it was just us, the ocean, the horizon, and the waves—no people or buildings in sight. Incredible beauty. Us in nature, whether on the balcony or on our bed. And the sunrises from balcony, sunsets on the patio or rooftop… Perfect stay in every way. Can’t wait to return! Thank you, Andrea!

I love the boho chic interior. I felt that the owners were very nice. I think they come off as unfriendly if you don't speak Spanish. The house is very close to the bus stop and convenient to the Central market and the grocery store. Also they rent bikes, $6 per day or 100 pesos. It was nice having a refrigerator and a sink and a stove.

The neighborhood around Casa de Ana has a lot of interesting seafood restaurants and fish sellers who will fry fish and shrimp on site. It's proximity to Lopez Portillo makes it very accessible to public transportation, taxi, etc. The room was comfortable and felt very secure, with a very heavy door.

Great location within walking distance to the main part of town and playa norte but away enough to have quiet and privacy so youre not flooded with tourist upon stepping out the door. Pool with ocean view was extra nice. Even had kitchen with coffee maker, etc. 2 bottles of water in the fridge at arrival was a nice touch. Also, a very nice and helpful maid!
Well located location, big comfy room, the Host Madjid was awesome and provided insightful information. Beach towels were also provided. Near the center but very quiet.
Great location, house was very well decorated too! Super quiet for the location, slept soundly. The room was very clean and nice (the bed was super big and super comfortable!) The host was ready for questions and very happy to help. I loved having access to a kitchen (nice to have free coffee and water :-) and fridge. Superb stay, would highly recommend.
Madjid is a great host, the room is spacious and exceeded our expectations. The view of the enclosed garden was stunning and it was quiet and peaceful. We worked from the terrace for a few days- Wifi is very strong. The café has super tasty food and great service. Absolutely loved my stay.
Charming boutique hotel perfectly located close to the beach and main street of bars/restaurants, but nice and quiet for a good night's sleep. Rooms are basic and clean, and there is nice courtyard for hanging out (although we didn't spend much time there). The owners were very friendly and accommodating for our delayed arrival. Great place to stay for a visit to Islas Mujeres!
