We had an amazing stay thanks to great hospitality of Shareef and Anwar. They took an exceptional care of us, providing friendly welcome and helping throughout the whole stay. Food was delicious, room always clean with extra touch, any requests were provided instantly. Great activity choice. Anwar and Shareef made sure that everything was done in the best way. They maintained good relations with us. But there is no beauty in their island, so we went to another island. They didn't like that, so got angry with us and didn't allow us to arrive on time for the 16th flight.
And our morning flight gets cancelled, the four of us then get a night flight for more money. Now I am waiting for that plan.

The guesthouse is small (only four rooms) and welcoming. Each room is also very simple: Mathiveri is a local island so forget about the stereotype of resort and luxory, but the structure is cleaned and you will have all you need to stay confortable and enjoy your vacation.
But, what more than everything else made our stay really great was Non Powan, the guy who is in charge of the guesthouse management. He’s so kind and willing, always trying to help you enjoy your days.
Last but not least, we really suggest to take advantage of the to partnership that the guesthouse is offering: the first one is with, we think, the best restaurant in the island: Irube Cafè. The second one is with PADI, one of the excursions centres of Mathiveri.

The host was very very nice and helpful. We received from him more than we expected. Breakfasts were delicious, we could always come to the dining place and drink tea or coffee. We were receiving drinking water in bottles free of charge. The place was clean and very comfortable. We highly recommend it!

Abu and Ali are very attentive, structured, serious people and run a tight ship. As a result, the place is very clean and quiet and well-cared for. They communicated the rules and their expectations at the beginning. Ali gave a tour of the island when I arrived and loaned me snorkeling fins for free. The included breakfast was really good, and my room was very, very comfortable. The wifi worked quite well. Ali also proactively gave me all of the information I needed for the public ferry, helped me get my things to the dock when leaving, and followed up later to make sure I had arrived safely at my destination.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
This is a charming lodge near the centre of the small island, within a short walk to amenities. The lodge is very peaceful and quiet, and is set inside a private courtyard. Rooms are large, comfortable, and well-appointed, with lots of natural light, great electrical and AC. Facility is simple but has strong design aspect that underlines the experience of being here. Breakfast is included with stay; snorkeling equipment also available. Service is excellent.

location was great. dinner as part of the accomodation was at local restaurant which was fabulous. loved the Maldivian breakfast. host had great humour.
Most things that I like, related to the island in general. But since this hotel situated on the island, they also related to it.
First of all the island has excellent beach with calm water, clean white sand and beautiful coral reef.
Also the island has quiet countryside atmosphere.
Breakfast is continental or Maldivian and the host is providing special requests too. The location is very good and the host is providing everything you need like free sunbed chairs at the Bikini Beach especially for the guest house or snorkeling equipment. In front of the guesthouse there a children playground. The staff were extremely helpful and made us feel like we are visiting friends.
We did shark feeding every night and host arranged boat fishing and BBQ at the house afterwards.
Good price and price/quality ratio, comfortable bed, helpful host (Hassan). The place was close to the beach, of this very quiet and calm island. Breakfast was tasty, but every day was the same (toasts, fried egg, sousage, jam, juice, butter), the internet connection was good, house reef was great and living.
