Our stay at Casa Azzopardi exceeded our expections from the moment of check-in. We were met by the owner Johnny who throughout our stay was knowledgeable, available, nothing was too much trouble. There are not many hosts out there like Johnny - he certainly enhances the stay. We stayed on the top floor, the room was beautifully restored in a modern but Maltese way. Our stay was for 10 days and it had everything required for that stay. The hot-tub is wow! you can relax on the terrace at night with the sounds of the Town below but looking up at the amazing Maltese architecture that surrounds. Also on the terrace are 2 sunbeds, 2 chairs a table and a lovely big umbrella perfect if like us you had a couple of days just relaxing in the apartment. The terrace is huge and you get views over to Mdina and into the town of Rabat below. Inside the apartment there is a tv, wifi, 2 comfy chairs and a table and chairs. We could not think of anything else that we would have needed. The towels and linens are white, crisp and fresh and the apartment was immaculately clean. Refreshed during our stay also by Johnny. Rabat itself is full of Maltese charm and all within easy walking distance there are many historic attractions to see. You will find bars and restaurants metres from your door and a couple of small supermarkets for essentials. Mdina is a must, seen from the terrace and again a short walk from the apartment. There is a car park nearby should you hire a car and as the island is so small we really enjoyed doing this. However public transport is available a few metres from the front door of the accommodation. It was our first time in Malta and definitely won't be our last. However our stay was made special by Johnny and Casa Azzopardi.

Beautifully renovated rooms in a modern building. Breakfast cooked to order each day (order the night before, .try the scrambled egg tartine with Maltese bread). Free on street parking ( except during Sunday Market). Five minute walk to M'dina. Great central location for exploring Malta. Hosts were friendly and accommodating.

Location is great, next to the Mdina. It‘s also nice to stay in one of the old buildings of Malta. Our room #13 was clean and big enough for one night.

Our experience was truly delightful. The hotel’s high ceilings and charming décor immediately caught our attention, creating a spacious and welcoming atmosphere.
Breakfast was a highlight of our stay. There was an impressive selection of meats, breads, and pastries that catered to all tastes. Mila, who was in charge of breakfast, was incredibly nice and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. Her helpers, Nora and Jacquelin, were also very friendly and made us feel right at home. They both went out of their way to ensure our mornings started off perfectly.
A special mention also goes to Jessica at the reception. She was incredibly helpful, offering great advice on places to visit and making sure we had all the information we needed for a memorable stay.
Overall, The Maltese Sun provided us with a wonderful experience. We would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Malta!

Spotlessly clean furnishings and furniture had been done to a high spec. Great hosts and a great breakfast. Pool area lovely, it also had an upper terrace, which was great to watch the fireworks from. If staying in Rabat we would highly recommend the 100 Boutique for your stay.
The apartment was in a great location and we had everything we needed. Nice restaurants nearby, a few stores, bakery, butcher… You can reach everything in Rabat and Mdina by foot in no more than 10-15 minutes. The apartment had heating/ AC and was very spacious and Donna was a great host with lots of tips and quick to respond to questions we had. We would recommend the apartment.
This is a beautiful boutique hotel with gracious hosts, a bountiful breakfast and in a great location. It is clear careful thought has gone into resurrecting the property with the design quality very evident. We were looked after really well and loved our stay. The comfort of the hotel along with drinks in the local square followed by dinner at the local band club will be one of the highlights of our trip to Malta.
The room was really neat and cosy. No dirt, nicely decorated, modern bathroom,... The staff is also very kind. The guesthouse is perfectly located next to the gate of Mdina and barely 1minute from a bus stop. You get quality for the cheap price! After staying in a few hostels/hotels in Malta, this one was definitely my number 1.
Bernardette is a great hostess. The place is amazing: great location, well decorated, breakfast 10/10.
Also, there were supermarkets only 5 minutes away walking. Totally recommend.
