The bed was very comfortable, a nice view of the elephants at the orphanage when they are let out at 8:30am and just a 10 minute walk max to walk to the entrance. It’s right by some restaurants on the Main Street.

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Nishad and his wonderful family, whose hospitality made us feel instantly at home. The food, lovingly prepared by Nishad’s wife, was some of the best Sri Lankan cuisine we’ve ever had—each meal was a delightful exploration of local flavors and traditions.
Nishad went above and beyond as our host, taking us on unforgettable excursions to a local tea factory, stunning waterfalls, the iconic Ambuluwawa Tower, and several beautiful temples. These experiences gave us a deep appreciation for the natural beauty and rich culture of the area, all while avoiding the usual tourist crowds.
What truly sets Toropi Homestay apart is the genuine warmth and kindness of Nishad and his family. Their care and attention to detail made our stay the best we had in Sri Lanka. We are extremely happy we chose to stay at Kandy Guest House during our stay in Kandy. The location is serene which makes it perfect to relax after a long day of sightseeing. Our favorite part was relaxing at the balcony that overlooked the river. The staff were also very helpful with anything that you needed. The beds were one of the most comfortable we have slept in and the airconditioning worked great. It was certainly a home away from home.
