We had the absolute best stay at aqua blue!!! The location is just great, the beach is really close and there are a lot of restaurants and bars nearby. The room was nice and clean and we really loved the balcony with the hammock. The breakfast and food in general at aqua blue is absolutely delicious! But what I loved most about aqua blue is how warmly we were welcomed and how lovely everybody has been to us during our stay. Basheer and his team always did their best to make our stay as comfortable and amazing as possible. We felt like we were part of a family. Basheer also helped us with so many activities like surfing, safari, cooking class etc. which were such great experiences! There is no better place to stay in Arugam Bay than in the Aqua Blue Hotel!!!

Simply a 10. Super location, 5 mins walk from the beach and also very nearby all restaurants. The cabanas are very clean and there is plenty of room. Last but not least, the owners are really really nice!

The place is directly on the beach, we just need to walk out from the room and can see the amazing sandy beach. The staff was chilled and friendly, they take their time for everything (other comments can say the service is slow, but we felt the vibes of this relaxed atmosphere). :) we had a twin bed room, but they kindly attached it and set the bed again.
The breakfast was great. :) try the All I Avo Want.

Amazing location next to a beach. Loved resting in a hammock with an ocean view. Everything is clean and nice. Murali cooks really good. His food was very tasty. Uncle Sella and Murali were very helpful and great hosts. In two months we are coming back!
The location is 10 min walking from the beach and 20 min from pottovil surfing. Location is quiet, yet close enough to the beach and surfing point. The garden of the property is beautiful with a nice seating area for breakfast and dinner.
Murali was a great host, very welcoming, and really good cooker ! His omelettes, juices and Sri Lankan dishes were delicious. It was a réal pleasure to stay at Ganesh Gate! We recommend at 100%!!!

Property is in a great location close to the Main Street, the beach and main surf point. The hosts are so lovely, and offer to prepare breakfast/coffee/juice every morning - we were only supposed to be staying for 5 nights but ended up extending for another 5 as the room is such good value for money. It’s clean, spacious, has a fan and A/C which is all we needed out of a room. Thankyou for having us
The property was amazing! It was very quiet and peaceful. The chalet was such a fun spot to stay a few nights, surrounded by a beautiful garden and art made by the owner. You can tell they have put a lot of love and thought into the details and it just feels a little bit magical staying there :) The food was delicious and the hosts were so kind and accomodating. It’s an easy walk to the beach.
Cannot recommend this place enough. it’s a gem in Arugam bay . A beautiful place designed personally by the host , vishy. the food was great , the vibe was great. we stayed here for 2 nights. would highly recommend this for a quiet chilled out, relaxing holiday.
