The property was on a quiet road with the only eating places back down the hill to Kandy Lake, I don’t think it was far to walk but didn’t want to try it in the dark. Room was modern and comfortable- I only had a quick overnight stay.
The owner helped me get a taxi to Negombo.

This property is a large house situated on the outskirts of Kandy city. My room was extremely large and spacious, and the couple staying here were very kind hosts. I would recommend to travelers, but just be mindful that it is a good distance from Kandy city center.

Very bright room with amazing view and monkeys. Women wich is working there is just the sweetest person. We even went with her to a local store for an amazing shopping. She told us very good informations about the country and the culture. If you are not sure should book the accommodation- just do it!

One of the prettiest little hotels I have ever seen. If I lived in the tropics, this would be exactly the way my house would look.
Every little space is very thoughtfully decorated with handmade art and wood carvings and plants.
Breakfast was equally lovely and plenty.
Little tip: the hot water is usually solar powered, which means that on a cloudy day it can be that there's little or no hot water in the shower. But you can just tell the owner and he'll flip a switch to turn an electric heater on and within 30 minutes you'll have more than enough hot water to shower as long as you want.
The rooms are absolutely beautiful with well working AC and a cosy little balcony that looks like it is in the middle of the jungle.
The pool is on the colder side but once you are in it is really lovely, especially after a hot a sweaty day around Kandy. There is a laundry service 10 minutes walking distance away. Bed is very comfortable.

Lots of narrow staircases, so be prepared to carry your luggage up and down this lovely little maze of a hotel.
Like in every major city you'll need earplugs to sleep comfortably. There's sounds from the nearby road and the people that live around the property.

We had a wonderful stay! The view is breathtaking, the room was amazingly clean and fresh with comfortable bed. The whole family was so helpful and kind, even helped us with food when we arrived late and hungry. Our best stay in sri lanka so far. Definitely recommend staying at mountain view guesthouse when you are in Kandy!

For us, it was a great location as it was away from the business of Kandy and it was quiet with a great view of the mountains and city. Breakfast was freshly made and delicious. Room was basic but had everything we needed and was clean and very comfortable.
This is a lovely guesthouse to stay before you take the train. They cook a delicious breakfast and organise a Tuktuk for you to take to the train station. Lovely family hosting as well!

A short tuk-tuk ride to Kandy, but walking distance from the Botanical Gardens which are stunning, try and spend at least half a day there.
