The Gammaduwa Bungalow, nestled in the serene hills, offers a magical retreat amidst lush tea gardens. I drove a tuk-tuk, and while the climb was steep, the destination was truly worth it. I took a wrong turn along the way and got slightly lost, but that’s the best thing that can happen to you in Sri Lanka. 🙂

Well get there by accident because of car trouble.
It was great. Best food i had in hotels in sri lanka. They make for you especially. We had rice and curry for dinner was amazing. And breakfast was western with salad like we asked. They have an organic farm so everything was super fresh and tasty. My parents even got some pork sausages from their pig farm. The rooms were spacious and verry hot water in the shower. The pool is great with amazing views the staff is very nice and cater to your every need. Highly recomended.

I had a fantastic stay at Green View Holiday Resort.
Kandy is just 20-25 min away from the resort. You can walk around the area near the hotel and there's a beautiful lake called Bandara Wawa.The views from the room were absolutely stunning, offering a peaceful and scenic landscape that added to the overall relaxation. Anure was incredibly hospitable. He arranged all our requests, including transportation to the airport, a tour around Kandy, and even helped with renting a scooter, making our stay smooth and enjoyable. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. Overall, a perfect getaway for those seeking tranquility and excellent service.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
Guesthouse is incredibly clean and well-maintained. We truly enjoyed the delicious breakfast they provided, especially the fresh fruits, Sri lankan meals, and the fresh juices.
The bathroom was spotless, which we greatly appreciated.

Superb place, and the best homestay we stayed at. The hosts were very humble and kind. The place was only 1 km away from the bus stand, however, was very calm and peaceful. Separate access, private kitchen area, spacious room, and the balcony area was nice. Almost everything, felt like home because of the warm welcome by the hosts. Thank you Pearl's homestay.
Ended up cancelling on the spot- the host keeps no outside lights on, because he is supposed to be closed and he fears the neighbors finding out that he is quietly accepting guests on booking.com. A very creepy place and a real jerk of a host.

The host was extremely helpful, organising us a great day around Knuckles Range hiking, bathing in a river and visiting temples. We had an amazing stay, with the best tuk-tuk driver and the host coming around with us explaining everything! In the guest house we Learned how to cook a great Sri Lanka breakfast, which was incredible. And it felt like home with parents/ grandparents during the whole time. We absolutely recommend this place and the hosts!
